I found this channel because of the almighty YT algorithm. Its hilarious.. I watch alot of this style content, and a girl I was trying to get with is really into BTS and ATEEZ and the other boy bands from Korea. So other drain content + Korean boy bands = Blocked Drain Korea? lol

Great videos guys! I live in Australia now but I'm originally from the USA. Korean plumbing is very different from American and Australian plumbing. Australian plumbing is also different from American plumbing. In the US water from sinks, showers, and the toilet all go into one drain pipe before they leave the house or building to the main sewer which eventually goes to a sewage treatment plant. Rainwater goes into a separate system and is discharged to a river or ocean untreated. In some older cities such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Philadelphia rainwater goes into a combined rainwater/wastewater sewer system and all of the water is treated. During heavy rains this systems can overflow and sewage is discharged into the environment causing pollution. Australia uses separate sewer systems for rainwater and wastewater. Outdoor catchments like the ones in your videos don't exist in the US. I was eating some kimchi while watching this video making it a Korean experience.

Can i understand there does it mean that in a high rise building, those staying at the lowest floor will have the highest probability of a choked pipe since all sewage water have to pass by the ground floor units? :(

Looks like the mid point is lowest. So all dirt, grit and sand is draining back into the pit. Regular suction cleaning needed!

This was the first video I saw of yours. I've watched a ton of them ever since late at night when I cannot sleep. Just want to let you know that "gradient" is a word that means "a gradual transition of color," but I think you want to describe a gradual transition of slope in the pipes. Please correct me if I am wrong about what you are trying to say. I was very confused for a long time about what you meant! Haha Besides this one word, the subtitles are easy to understand. Great videos.
@ferthur012 жыл бұрын
Almost, but not quite. Their use of gradient to describe a grade (slope) is correct. From Merriam-Webster, "a: the rate of regular or graded (see grade entry 2 sense transitive 2) ascent or descent : inclination b: a part sloping upward or downward". This is wholly separate from the usage of the word in the arts.
@NasikaSakura2 жыл бұрын
@@ferthur01 Ah, thank you very much, Joe! I'm an artist and took for granted that the definition in art was the only definition because it was the only definition that I was taught through school and never heard it used any other way. I really appreciate it. :)

@@NasikaSakura there are a lot of words like that. I can't count the number of times I've gone to doublecheck spelling or definition and go "huh, didn't know you could use it that way."
