Carry spare battery for the fob in your saddlebag. Yes, you have the pin.

You should've had a default pin from the start. My Harley has a key fob and if it dies I use my pin. But I can swap the battery out of it on my own and go.. no problem. Beautiful bike though.
@themotorcyclegene3 жыл бұрын
I should have, but I got it from a used car dealer and he didn’t have that information. At least I have all the PIN numbers now and I won’t get stranded again.

Same thing happened to me on my brand new harley. Luckily there were many videos on how to enter and set your pin code. First I got it wrong, had to wait 15 minutes to do it again...lol

Harry, thanks for the reply. Now that I know the master pin, and now that I have set a user pin, it won't be much of a problem if my key fails. Ride safely, and if you haven't done so already, I would greatly appreciate it if you would subscribe to my channel.

@@themotorcyclegene yes it turns out after I replace the battery in the fob it still didn't work. Well there are four little pins inside that make contact with the battery. You got to gently pry them up as they get flattened out over time. Worked fine after that!

I'd like to find a way to bypass that keyless bs altogether. My 2016 Roadmaster has to be kept on a battery tender or it drains in a couple days from constantly searching for the fob. Effin engineers.

I always keep mine on a battery tender if it will be more than a couple of days before I ride it.

I have the master and user pin saved in my phone now, but I didn’t have them at first since I got the bike used and the seller didn’t remember what they were.

@@themotorcyclegene one day I locked my front door in the apartment I had in Rexburg and I didn't like it with key, I realized later I locked myself out I had to pull the screen out crawl in through my window but somebody called the cops because they thought someone was breaking in and I was I was breaking into my own apartment because I locked myself out😭. It is always good to be careful whether it be with your keys or a passcode, or a pain.

My riding buddy bought a new 2021 Indian (since 2011-Polaris) Challenger. He picked it up on 9/10/21. The next day we rode 100-miles. On Monday 9/13/21 we were going to ride and his new bike with 103-miles on it wouldn’t start and showed an error code. The dealer sent a truck to pick it up. The dealer (Gina’s Indian Monee, IL) said they don’t know what the code is and is waiting to hear from Polaris. Tomorrow is Thursday 9/16 and they still haven’t got it started yet. What a $35k POS. 💩💩💩💩 I told my buddy to buy a Road Glide Special but he wouldn’t listen. 💸💸💸💸💸🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳

I don't have anything bad to say about my Roadmaster, and the dealer I have been taking it to (Heritage Indian of Northwest Arkansas) has been super helpful. I am sorry to hear about your friend and I wish him the best of luck. If he purchased the bike new than the pin should be in some of the paperwork he received when he purchased it.

@@themotorcyclegene It’s now Saturday 9/18 and the dealer along with Polaris haven’t figured it out yet. Maybe next week. 🍋

@@themotorcyclegene It has nothing to do with a pin. He has the fob and the bike powered up but the engine doesn’t even turn over. It needs a new main computer and Polaris is dicking around instead of sending a new $2,000.00 ECU.

@@barackblows1942 Wow, that is bad. Hopefully it is covered under warranty. I haven't heard of any Indian having that issue before. Sorry about the bad luck.

@@themotorcyclegene 2021 Challenger update: Gina’s Indian in consultation with Polaris finally got his bike running and returned it on 9/23/21. Supposedly it was a loose wire on the tip over sensor. It only took them 11-days to figure it out. I’d be afraid to take it touring since Indian dealers are few and far between. There are only three dealers in Illinois. 💩

I probably would have shown you how to hack it if I knew how, instead I had to get a new key and get the dealership to tell me my codes.

why don’t you just buy a new battery & put it in the key fob??? that’s what i did. No problems.

I put a new battery in the key fob first before I called the dealership but a new battery did not solve the problem.
