It comes down to the simple fact that great players never had time to train their kids. They were focused on achieving greatness. While the really good/ good players always had time to help their kids. Think about every great player and how they spoke about endless hours in the gym and on the road. Aka little time for other things like coaching their kids until they retired.
@sunnylusburner81083 жыл бұрын
Not true, it comes down to the fact that most of these kids didn't grow up in the same situations their fathers did, coming from nothing to having it all. Because of this, their kids dont have the same drive and mental fortitude to strive for a better situation.
@bryanmejia48263 жыл бұрын
@@sunnylusburner8108 Right, cause Curry had it so hard growing up that's probably what drove him to be the best pg in the league.
@sunnylusburner81083 жыл бұрын
@@bryanmejia4826 wow good on you bro you pointed out 1 example out of the many NBA players kids that didnt have success. You could've mentioned Kobe aswell but what difference does that make? there are more kids that haven't succeeded than kids that have.
@weaponx29803 жыл бұрын
I think you hit the nail on the head! The drive isn’t there! Their dads had to grind and make it! And these kids are set so it’s not the same intensity

even though you have a valid point on not having to earn the spot and recognition, you have to add in the added pressure and expectations of being in their fathers shadows. I personally believe Bol Bol should end up with a better career than his dad, if he decides to become stronger defensively.

Regression towards the mean is pretty reliable law of this universe. When you have a father who's an extreme outlier in terms of natural talent and/or athleticism the chances that the son will equal them is pretty unlikely. Add to that the fact that the kids have waaaaaay to much pressure and expectations put on them because of who dad is, as well as the fact that they're mostly wealthy and don't have the same kind of grind coming up, and it's no wonder Steph Curry's are rare.
