Abby and Lisa couldnt sing to save their lives, they were terrible but the audience misbehaved too by booing Lisa when she was trying to talk to which her reaction of shut up was then painted as her bad attitude when it was the audience causing the problem in the first place. And her asking Natalie who she was was indeed a genuine question cos Natalie's own success was way back in the 90s before Lisa wouldve been old enough to know who she was so I didnt see anything rude about it, with all due respect to Natalie she was a bit of a hasbeen by the time she became a judge on that show, nobody under 20 was going to know who she was. Her debut album was her main success in the late 90s and post 2000 she faded into obscurity.

I was thinking the same thing too, when Lisa said “Who are you, may I ask?” It felt like she genuinely didn’t even know who Natalie Imbruglia is, even I haven’t even seen her before, although I’m younger than Abby and Lisa, but when I looked her up I recognised that she sang one of my favourite songs Torn! I kinda do feel bad for Lisa because even when they went backstage you can hear Lisa saying something along the lines of “I genuinely don’t even know who she is…” I feel like everyone got the wrong meaning of what Lisa said.

I've thought about these too as well, and I'm impressed at your research skills. I doubt this would be helpful, but I saw a reference to them calling themselves "Abilisa" not Ablisa. Search engines would most likely include similar spellings that close but I thought I'd mention it. I'm glad to hear these two have actually lived somewhat normal lives if you really put a fine point to it. Not exactly what one would strive for, but the internet publicity some find for themselves can sadly be horrifically tragic. In other words, they could have gone much worse. It's also surprising that Abby got the raw end because she was actually concerned about their behavior on camera when Lisa was clueless and rude on stage. It was Lisa putting her foot in her mouth and Abby saw it immediately. She did however seal the deal by pushing Lisa in the face. I have wondered in the past if their 'act' was staged. sp it's interesting to know they were not. Thanks for the interesting video! Love your channel! I wish you well!

I've been trying to google what happened to Ant and Seb (the Welsh guys who performed Mysterious Girl in their audition, and it lives rent-free in my head). Nothing, apart from them advertising frozen pizza and one of them being interviewed by Chris Moyles (a radio DJ in the UK). I was going to link the interview and the advert but my comment gets deleted if I put a link in it for some reason. I did look at a video of their audition on Tiktok, they're everywhere, people dressing up as them and all sorts. Believe me, I've searched far and wide on the internet, only to have my results come up as nothing. Everything from using their full names to where they're from in Wales.

It sounds really weird of me to do this, but I even checked on Twitter if there are any accounts that they could've had, again, I thought I nearly found one that might've belonged to Seb, but it was just a different person with the same name. Damnit. Although if this helps, I did find a video of their audition on TikTok that has a comment from someone that used to (maybe still does) have the other brother (Anton) on Facebook, but I don't know how verifiable the claim is. Biggest mystery since the disappearance of Richey Edwards of the Manic Street Preachers, a chapter of Welsh history will be closed if there happens to be a breakthrough. I say this in jest. 😂

I know what ya mean, they have lots of look a likes too so I’ve had to filter through tons of random people to rule them out. I guarantee they don’t go by any variation of their known names anymore. There are a couple of people who say they were doing gigs for a time in the bars back in their hometown after they did they did those bigger appearances but they aren’t doing that presently. I’ve found a decent number of clips but they’re all before like 2013. I’ve found traces of their present day too but it’s been difficult to confirm the info. They are a hard one! Lol

I felt bad for the girls... They couldn't sing very well, no - but I thought Simon was really harsh on Abby in particular as she was quite reasonable and polite towards the audience and judges... Abby shouldn't have hit Lisa - but they were young at the time (17 and 18), they'd now both be in their 30s and the ridicule they still get is really unfair... Neither of them seemed that vile at all - and Lisa clearly had learning difficulties and mental health issues, that wasnt nice how she was pilloried by the show... Good on her for going into social care! I think Abby is only guilty of being vocal and having an opinion - neither are particularly bad traits in themselves - I'm glad she's found her niche as a mother

hello to the Netherlands! We had people steal from us during the night. The next night my husband was on his way home from work at 2am and passed by the thief driving our four wheeler. He was just driving it down the main road. He chased him down and caught him but the guy was able get free. My husband chased him further until the guy drove into someone's corn field and my husband had to give up. The police took over the chase but the guy got away. Our area used to be so safe but in the last year crime had grown, mostly theft. Glad you ended up here! Lol

Actually yes! I found a photo of her in 2013 at an LDS church wearing a white temple garment (which is worn to show commitment to the promises made to the temple) and she has a check-in at the LDS Church that same year. Also gave them a "recommend" review on their church FB page. It doesn't appear that she is still involved in my opinion because there is nothing after that year but i could be wrong. Great question.

Hi Lady Candic, thanks so much for the video. Let's start with the infamous Ablisa audition. I think they were acting like a couple of 7 year olds (extremely immature). You don't insult a judge, tell the audience to shut up! And strike your friend in the face, on one of the biggest shows in the world. Live show, live international TV. Then their singing😓. It was dreadful 🎤. If you recorded 2 cats being strangled. Then you play it back, in slow motion? That's more or less how they sounded🎤. I do feel for both of them, loosing their mothers at such a young age is a tragedy 😓😓. But they have moved on, and are living their lives just like anybody else. Let's just say, they became famous for the wrong reasons😂😂. On a personal note, I hope your husband sorted out this individual who had your 4 wheeler??

Also three of my horses got out and it took me a while to find them, then if course I had to fix the fence so they didn't get out again. My daughter filmed most of it so maybe I will post a short. Pretty sure they're first cousins (their mothers look almost identical), so making up was always likely to happen. They were such poor singers/performers that they should've been politely turned away at the first, unrecorded audition. Humiliating vulnerable teenagers has gone out of fashion, thankfully, especially since Zoe Alexander exposed the show's MO, and Ariel Burdett took her own life. Watching bad auditions IS entertaining, but doesn't something inside you feel you shouldn't be part of it, or that it shouldn't be happening?

@@LadyCandic I know what you mean, I used to love watching the earlier X Factor's as a kid, without the music, felt less staged like I do believe some of the newer ones are. But yeah it's really interesting and admirable that you're interested enough in some things that may seem quite obscure to most, and also that you're open to UK things whereas a lot of American's can't even understand our accents unless it's the stereotypical posh London one lol. @Nuclear_Winter thank you! And I love watching UK based shows. I watch a good bit of UK reality TV. I've always wanted to travel and see how other countries and cultures live but I can't so I just watch from youtube lol. The UK doesn't seem that different compared to us but I see some subtle things. Like seeming to be better at recognizing and expressing what your feeling. In the US it is harder because people's true feelings are often hidden under a mask. Not always... but often.

But I think the differences are closing even more these days with things like the internet, kids all growing up with the exact same things and the same internet idols and influences on how they should act.
