Loving your videos! Btw, Kaunas is almost twice cheaper than the capital Vilnius. When you have a chance you should go visit it! :) Can’t wait till I can visit Nigeria, sounds like a great place. Greetings from New York!

A lot of Lithuanians get some of their income without paying taxes, so their investment opportunities are limited. Most common investment is to real estate (apartment for renting out), other most common one is to your own business. Nowadays more and more people invest into stock market, but we are still not interesting for most major investment players that are available in larger EU countries. There also are funds for RE investment that gives ~10% yearly.
@AmarachiNzekwe3 жыл бұрын
Oh thanks for this information. I noticed that real estate is a common investment tool for people here. Unfortunately, there is the barrier in entry for us foreigners with just a temporary permit so I need to wait 5 year to get a permanent residency first before thinking of buying a house :(
@mantasalekna33503 жыл бұрын
@@AmarachiNzekwe Indeed, but you can invest into funds that themselves invest into real estate, but inflation is ~2% so don't worry too much about it.

Lagos is one of biggest financial centres in the world which is of much greater importance than any of Lithuanian cities including capital city Vilnius, therefore the cost of living there is closer to the cities like London or Paris. We always say about our country that Lithuania is just one big village, but the nice one 😊

Short term investments is usually obligated by taxes. Today with so low interest rate (technically negative) investment isn't so appealing.

I invest in precious metals and crypto currency. I find it more or less a simple way to invest. I want to try to invest in property also, but that will be in the future. Another economic bubble is about to burst so I need to be careful.

@AmarachiNzekwe4 жыл бұрын
Hello, wishing you the best with your admission. I'm not sure how feasible getting a salon to work in is as their hair is totally different from ours and they may not trust you to know how to handle it. I'll suggest you look into getting your own clients as Africans are in need of people who know how to work with their hair
