Depression does that, drives you to drugs, alcohol, anything to help you numb it for a little while. It's a evil disease, I deal with it daily. It's not fair, everyone around you is amazing and you're sad and the guilt is the worst because you just don't know why and feel you shouldn't be that way. I don't wish it on anyone, it's horrible to battle everyday. I do my best and thankfully I just couldn't leave my daughters and wife to deal with that but I can't lie and say it hasn't been the easy way out several times in my mind.

Such a sad story. FREDDIE PRINZE was one of my favorite comedians from my childhood, one of the very first I can remember who really made me laugh watching him on CHICO AND THE MAN. In March of 2007 I visited Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery and left a red rose on Freddie's crypt. It seemed like a very cold and lonely place where nobody had visited him in a long time. He is buried right around the corner from ANDY GIBB another great star from the 70s who also died way before his time. They are both buried in an above-ground mausoleum. I left ANDY a red rose too. May they both RIP.

His wife gave him divorce papers because he was too much into the drugs and maybe womanizing too. But I believe it was more about his drug use and his wife didn't want him around his baby son all messed up. Drugs, pressure, confusion, depression= suicide. He was still a kid at 22 my God.☹️😥 A waste of talent and life so tragic and sad.

Those ludes and downers can really talk you into some stupid crazy shit. Just now a poem has arrived. Too much too soon, The quaaludes changed his tune, Maybe ran out That's not quite clear, Then a .45 in his ear, When that evil voice Says what you must do, It's only the drugs talking to you, It's only the drugs talking to you, Put that thing away And go lie down, Let that train pass through your lonely old town, Please don't let us all down, Please don't let us all down, One thing for sure That's true as can be, If I must kill someone It ain't gonna be me!

My brother in-law couldn't understand why I would be sad since I didn't know him. I was just a little over 10 when his show was on and both my mom enjoyed it alot. Throughout the years I've read quite a few articles on Freddie And His Battle With Depression, Massive Quaalude Addiction (40 to 45 Pills A Day) and Cocaine. One article stood out about Freddie attempting suicide at the age of 17 because of a breakup with a girl. So already Freddie had depression and may have had some addiction to Valium. Too much to soon is unfortunately the term to many people have used in tragic celebrities death's. Depression is Very Real and Freddie tried so hard to suppress it and come off happy but for the most part he wasn't. R.I.P. Freddie Prince.

Saw him in person about 10 months before his death in Montreal taping a Bob Hope Olympics special in Canada. During the break in the filming of about four hours for an hour or hour and a half TV special he came out to keep the audience upbeat. And he was as funny as can be. Made Bob Hope look like a chump with his stock preplanned jokes. For the cameras. And he was only 21 imagine. I saw him just before he came out and he was staring out the audience as he was being introduced and he was just staring. Bing Crosby was there to do the show. Sammy Davis Junior was to be on it but was too sick. Shirley Jones from the Partridge family did a song. And then the shock of when it was on the radio of him shooting himself. I remember the radio announcer said how he couldn't believe someone so young and talented and rich how spoiled he must've been. There's an old fashioned theory that says demons cause depression. Those who think they know everything will scoff. Those people often know the least, & serve as tools, unwittingly used by the very demonic hands that have them deceived. These entities hold their noses while holding their blind human servants who spread their evil propaganda in contempt. And when these humans have served their purpose, the demons simply discard them like a used up dirty dishrag. Then the human pawn gets his reward. In hell.
