I agree it would have been nice to see this friendship grow It would have ment that the writers could have told us more about their characters and back story and created more interesting storylines or they could have had little adventures away from their wife ,getting into trouble or just having fun together

And Elizabeth Tewson now sadly, unfortunately we are getting to the stage where alot of these actors are gone now, though Pat herself is doing well still as is Judy Cornwell who are currently 95 and 84 respectively. I'll be very sad when they're all gone though.

Daisy: I think you'll need a longer skirt for a start. Rose: I'll get a longer skirt. I'll get a skirt that goes right down to the floor! RIP Josephine Tewson. What a brilliant actress who had great comedic timing and portrayed the kind, patient, nervous friend of Elizabeth with perfect humour and delivered a great part she was born to play. I think Josephine was just as talented as Patricia and their chemistry as friends, the domineering Hycanith compared to the timid Elizabeth, provided much levity in KUA. I saw Josephine was holding back her laughter when Patricia had to bend down to look under the car. A truly talented actress and thank you for the laughs Ms Tewson. May you be wherever it is having many laughs with your family and friends like Clive and Geoff seeing the smiles you still bring to millions. 💞

Hyacinths legs at 2:01 are pretty good legs for a lady who was probably nearing 70 when this episode was filmed

If there were ever character that strongly resembled Lucille Ball's Lucy Ricardo, it unquestionably IS Patrici Rutledge's HYACINTH BUCKET for her ability to elicit uncontrollable laughter with her character, her pretentiousness, her PHYSICAL COMEDY all combined are just about unmatched in situation comedy.
