The reason defaults don't appear as much is because of 2 things -Fortnite has gained a somewhat negative reputation recently, decreasing the amount of new players -Abundance of free skins

Mainly because the game has a high skill ceiling and a very very low skill floor, but a massive skill curve, as you have to learn to flick shot, swap, look around, move better, BUILD shoot while building and ect…. Making it have a very hard filter for newer players to get better. As they have to commit, There is no casual mode.
