Have you thought about having students grow a crop to be used in the cafeteria of the school? School lunch programs cost the school and a crop that would feed the kids and their fellow students could be a source of pride to them as well as mean a savings to the school. It would allow kids to see the cycle of growing food all the way til it reaches the table.
