We are Derec & Tanya. Welcome to our channel! We believe nature is the best medicine. We love the outdoors & have found healing in nature. So whether we are traveling around in our tiny home on wheels, named Betty White, or at our home, we call Base Camp, we like to focus on outdoor living & the benefits it can bring to your life!
We also share disability related content because, after all, it is a part of our everyday lives & the challenges we face as an interabled, disabled couple. You may also find Tanya doing solo van trips, or easy van meals...or Derec out having fun in his 4x4 wheelchair or grilling it up in his wheelchair friendly outdoor kitchen.

I became paralysed 14 years ago. Slowly - slow enough to, sometimes, challenge my sanity - I am recovering; reclaiming a degree of my mobility. Watching this video, and your channel, I felt the way a like a dog on a leash might when just a few feet away from a pyramid of sausages and steak. I'm so to get back out there. Get back to backpacking. And I really miss cycling. Your strength and stubbornness have lit the way to the possibility of having most of my life back. Can't wait for the next video.

Love the hat! Where did you get it! I NEED one! You could get a go pro chest mount strap. That would be a great way to video if you have your hands full with Sage and stuff. They might have other body mounts too that might work better for you. I finally got to meet Dee at Ironwood. Maybe next year I'll get to meet you at Q.
