Hoping you'll keep your old POD content up, I'm still learning from them, if yes, awesome thanks. Great share. Congratulations on your new direction. Change is always good, there are new exciting adventures waiting for you :)

This is my second video I've found on this page. I'd love to see some blogs from you, you seem like a delight and I really enjoyed your tutorial on changing color schemes on illustrator. You're an interesting person. But yeah WHY HAVE YOU WAITED?!?!? Hit some more of these adventures- nothing like life experience to really build one as an artist.

I've retyped this message -6 times so far- 7 times so far, so I beat your video redo count. I wanted to say that I think 'Burnout' is very prevalent among YT content creators and that 90% of the pressure I believe is self inflicted. But that sounds like a criticism and it's not. The desire to provide good and interesting content and keep subscribers happy shows good character. But that bar is probably set by you more than manic demands from viewers or subscribers. So don't feel guilty, do your thing and be happy! I'll still be subscribed to to the channel. Why would anyone leave a channel just because it might release less content? The opposite, spamming a feed is more likely to get peple unsubscribing. All the best!

Wow... I just saw your Niche video as I am new to the game. I invested in expanding/adjusting my small freelance business when lock-downs and our stolen election here in the US happened. I was impressed with how you provided great info in a very creative and understanding manner . . . and so on. Immediately following that video this one started to play. I felt a terrible loss. Anyway, I loved your honesty and outlook for the future. I wish you all the best whichever direction you venture. I will go back and watch what you do have posted. BTW... I can totally relate to what you have been through. I think there are many who can. Head high and carry on. The near future is going to bring the start of many great, new and amazing things for all of humanity.

I think as a business print on demand is a very hard way to make a living. I am glad I don't need to do this and for me is a hobby and a way for me to learn about art and express myself and if someone buys something well great, if not no worries. But I totally agree and I totally get it. Best of luck (and we will miss that Black cat too).

I joined your channel ages ago for POD stuff, but I got bored too and gave that up back in Jan 2020! Still get a small payment every month, so not too bad really. Then I changed from trying to sell POD products via an e-commerce store - to starting up as a freelance marketing VA. - So it’s def a vote from me for more freelance content on your channel!

If you love the great outdoors it’s hard to spend time at a computer screen, my way around this is to go on adventures, go walking, mountain biking, running and take photos of things that inspire you, from the colours in nature the wildlife you see and the way the environment shapes everything around you. Then on long winter evenings get those photos out and hopefully find lots of inspiration. Thank you so much for all the videos you have posted and best wishes for the future

Seems like this is a time of reflection for many of us. Congratulations on finding your new direction. Changes are good and they say change is simply a constant in our lives. A travel/journey blog or whatever you end up doing actually sounds exciting with lots of intriguing rambles waiting to be rambled ;-). Good luck, keep in touch but only if you have an urge to share.

You're taking a new path figuratively and literally! Keep up the hiking. It's great to get out into nature and it refreshes your soul. We all need some of that after 2020. My family lost 5 uncles, I lost my 20 yo cat, my Mom had a heart attack, we had roof damage and mold causing a subsequent lawsuit with insurance. I think 2020 caused a lot of us to re-evaluate what we're doing with our lives. All you can do is keep plugging away, do your best to solve the problems, keep your head up and stay positive. You'll make it through the tough times and things will get better. Life throws us challenges and often causes us to change directions. There's no shame or apologies needed for that; so, don't feel like you've let anyone down. You are so genuine and strive for excellence. That's what keeps us coming back for your content. It's all part of the journey and I am glad you're sharing it with us.

Hey. So happy to see you again. I was feeling the same for the past year and also about print on demand too. Regarding the KZbin video I really really hope that you will do vídeo about your freelancing and tutorial about your job and illustrator.... It would be really really great...

It’s really good to see that you’re ok after taking time to reflect on yourself and where you want to be. That genuinely is most important. I’ll stay subbed, I enjoyed your POD content. But I also enjoy your authenticity and that will no doubt come across regardless of what content you decide to make, if you decide to make any. Take care.

Third time lucky! A great video, much appreciated for your honesty and quite by coincidence I scrolled through my subscriptions and Rogue Pixel rolled by and now here you are! And good on you for making and releasing this video. Whilst watching a thought crossed my mind, for your consideration might as well share: how about graphic designs for the KZbin community? Plenty of channels in need of some fresh designs. Thank you very much for all effort and good luck with the new direction! I kept it quite short, methinks :)

Thanks for the comment Scale :) Yes! Funny you mention it, I’ve been thinking of tutorials around KZbin branding and stream graphics - super fun area to get into 👍🔥

Happy to hear you’re doing ok. Scotland looked fun! I’d be interested in hearing about freelance life stuff, or whatever you want to post about really. Print on demand has become less of a priority for me too over the past 6 months or so. I can’t remember when I last uploaded anything new! IMO it’s really only good when you’ve not put much work into the designs, for example if you’ve been able to repurpose something you’ve already designed into something usable for print on demand. When I started designing specifically for print on demand it started to take a toll. It’s really demoralising when something you’ve spent a lot of time on doesn’t sell, or maybe only sells once or twice. If it’s something that’s been repurposed there’s no great loss if it doesn’t sell, and if it does, then great!

I love vlog style content. I used to watch a freelance illustrator that made vlog style content. She's now moved exclusively to Patreon. I loved her channel and would love if you followed the vlog path. She even included her vacations on her channel and she was an introvert as well. Looking forward to whatever you make next! Congratulations on fulfilling your dream job!

Any kind of video you make will be successful. I see lots of videos of tutorials, passive income, etc but I kept watching your videos because you have some sort of rare charisma that others do not have, also for the content. A second channel for vlogs and adventures is a good idea, more tutorials in this one as well.

A lot of KZbinrs are saying the same as you are, and feeling guilty about a change of direction .... Don't! - Because most subscribers will have subscribed because of 'You'! and will stay subscribed whatever you put out here ........ A really successful 'Old KZbinr' RickVanMan recently had he same thoughts after Years of waffling anyway :-) ..... He now just rambles on about all sorts of different/interesting things and hasn't noticed anything more than 'growth' for his channel .... A lesson there MeThinks :-) ............. Good luck & you can't beat a good selection of Highland footage .........

POD is so demanding and you get very little rewards if you consider the time it takes to make it work. I totally understand you getting tired of it.
@albertocatania61653 жыл бұрын
Why don't you just do leave videos without cuts or edit when you work? It would be interest watch you on your thinking and creating process? In this way you will do 2 things and the same time and the would simply be live videos :)
