OMG, I was crying when I saw the World Trade Center at 18:36, It's such a shame that It's still gone, Pre 9/11 Era.

Just seeing the ident for WNET, the PBS affiliate based in that region at the beginning of this post, makes it even harsher in hindsight, because that's how old I actually was when that fateful tragedy occurred. I personally thought it was bad timing for me to have just hit my teen years at that point, because I was really looking forward to that. I felt like I was being ushered into a world of angst and depression when I was previously part of a world of joy and laughter, because it was around that same time I started learning about the Holocaust, which is arguably considered to be one of the most significant historical events in which teens are expected to learn about, at least in the case of my respective experiences growing up. I also mostly just associated terror with Halloween, since the time of year in which the attacks occurred was normally when those decorations and costumes started to pop up in stores, plus I wasn't a big horror movie fan before then, mainly due to the "kids shouldn't watch horror films" trope.

One thing I noticed about these season 1 episodes is that they would have Thigpen shoot new segments to announce the name of the contestants, and what prizes they've won, as well as introduce each of the contestants at the start of the show. But by season 2, it seemed all of her segments were not done live. I think it had to do with her busy Broadway schedule.

In Season 2, the only live office sketch they did is the first clue.

She declined to do the show several times because of the grueling schedule so I'm sure they did all they could to work around her.

@@happyfacefries even though it's been, 18 years since her passing, Still I miss her so much, just as much as I miss Joseph Mascolo (R.I.P), and all the other Celebrity's that have passed away too, including Charles Grodon (R.I.P), and the best Memory I have of Lynne Thigpen, was in the 1994 Movie Blankman, she portrayed Damen Wayens and David Allen Grear's Elderly Grandmother that was murdered at an Assemblyman's Mayoral Headquarters, and She was also in the TV Series Bodies of Evidence.

Just hearing those details should serve as a painful reminder of why the terms tourism and terrorism sound eerily similar to each other…and how. At least I now I know why they were smart enough to put a disclaimer when the second season rolled around.
