It's not fancy, but this is a really solid conversion of the classic computer game.

I vividly remember being called "smart" for being able to do well in this game by a friend who owned it and told me it was too difficult. I told him I thought we all learned this stuff in school. It was a good, early lesson learned that not everyone has the same priorities.

The only versions of these games I ever played were the ol' PC versions of _Where in the World_ and _Where in the U.S.A._ , and the V.I.L.E. henchmen encounters in those were funny. The encounters in this one look much more sinister, especially the guy wearing the safari getup that brandishes a machete at you! Creepy!

1:31, “Time pilots, Minnie Series just stole something from the past. You’ve got 33 hours to get it back or history will change forever! Initiate chronoskimmer log sequence! Boot up the chrono-computer! Power up the engines! Launch the time probes! Extend the temporal sequencer! NOW, GET GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Cue The Engine Crew singing “Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego?”)”

As I play, I'm starting to wonder if having more info on a crook makes you find them faster, because I am running into cases that are literally impossible to solve in the allotted time. Am having cases where I do everything absolutely perfectly, only spending 1 single hour talking to a witness at each location & then traveling to the correct location each time, only to run out of time before even finding the crook. I also spend 1 Hour to send out the drone once I have enough info to do so, however I'm wondering if future cases actually require you to input in more information than necessary about the perp? Otherwise it would be pretty absurd & plain bad game design to have cases that cannot be won no matter what you do. I had one where I was almost in an infinite loop of going back to the same two places over and over consecutively.

One thing I absolutely HATE about this game is first off, the INCREDIBLY strict time limit. You are often given JUST enough time to complete each mission if you play absolutely perfect & don't wast a single minute, which is ridiculous. Second, I HATE how you can have the Warrant ready, do a scan at the place the criminal is at, and if that leaves you with 0 Hours you STILL fail. Am sorry but that is absurd. If you catch the criminal with 0 Hours remaining it should still count, as you technically did it within the time limit. However it doesn't count and you insta-fail. A ridiculous oversight if you ask me.
