The guy who helped them Carmen Sandiego as a show utterly insisted Thigpen. They cast many, many people, and while some did okay he pressed and pressed until they got Thigpen. And God damn does she nail the part.

Every time this show started, I shed a single tear because I missed Where in the World. But this is still better than 99% of all shows intended for kids that are on TV today.

Somehow, I don't think the casts and crews of the respective shows would be very pleased at you for doing that, either. If anything, I think they'd be admonishing you to turn off the TV and get your homework done, emphasizing that they're putting out "educational TV", and if you're not taking your academics seriously, you're just wasting everyone's time.

Remember the show ran for a half hour, with two minutes set aside for commercial breaks. And of course. That SONG. The stakes are high. Victory will not be easy. You are the best one for the job. You will get it done. No wonder why I loved this show as a kid. They really don't make them like they used to.

The Carmen Sandiego trivia shows (both this one and World) were perfect in every way. The sets, the music, the wardrobe, the casting... everything was fine tuned to keep kid's attention while still being engaging and educational, and rewarding knowledge. Shows like these are a must for a well educated society, the base of every great civilization is the education and knowledge it imparts on their citizens, and education starts at childhood.

This was my favorite show on PBS when I was a kid. I wanted to be on it so bad lol. My sister and I used to set up stations in the living room that we'd have to go through and answer trivia questions, like the winning kid who runs through the course at the end of the game. Good times :)

Season 2 lasted 50 episodes and ran from October 6, 1997 to December 12, 1997, with reruns of that season being shown until October 2, 1998. The show aired for the last time 14 years ago today, October 2, 2012.

I enjoy music more than I know music. Obviously when the second "In Time" hits. That makes or breaks. I think its a key change but I'm gonna stay in my lane. I just think it works because its unique and it kinda simulates accelerating thru time.

Depends on which theory of time travel you use, there are some obscure theories that say it'd take time for any change to the time line to catch up, that changes would not be instantaneous.

The one you're inquiring about at the bottom of 0:34 and 0:42 is Mediva (sp?). The others in the scene at 0:34 are Jacqueline Hyde (top), Baron Wasteland (right), Mediva (bottom), Dr. Belljar (left) and Sir Vile (middle). Baron Wasteland is also the one who explodes at 0:44.
