Glad to help. I do have more questions from you on email Ill sort this week. I think you are biased as it's your ecu in the video. As you can see its a runner now.

Funny you posted this so recently. Just today I finally found the 3UZ at a junkyard I've been after. That box was unfastened and holy crap, the ECU would NOT. COME. OUT. It came home in the box LOL. Tomorrow I go pull the motor. I'll be in touch about your wiring goodies. :)

You must have noticed I had to have a second pull to get the ecu out. Haha, it was a virgin.

They sound good with just the rear mufflers deleted. I should send my ecu for a tune
@CartuneNZ2 жыл бұрын
yes you should send the ecu for a tune. Mine sounds shit with the rear exhaust delete. In the next few weeks hopefully I'll get a rear system back on.

Hi Kelvin, I have a 2006 ls430 and the car runs great for about thirty minutes...after 30 min it starts acting sluggish and shifts rougher. Prior to that the car runs basically perfect. Any ideas why that is. I saw your ECU videos and am probably going to send the ECU in to get fixed but any other ideas you have would be much appreciated. Best, Brandon.

I have a 2003 ls430. It’ll crank but no start. Happened after an accident to the front driver side. I tried connecting a odb2 to try and diagnose it but ecu can’t be read or won’t connect. Any ideas on what I can do or what’s wrong. Please help

Nice peaceful place you got there Kelvin. I have a question about the higher mileage UZ’s - I noticed on a lot of 430’s (and 400’s) I test drove before I bought mine, the idle would sit too low (500-550rpm) but only in drive and reverse, and not in park/neutral. Mine is doing this too, and the strange thing is, when you put some load on the engine, like headlights, defroster or power steering, the idle will adjust back to normal. This issue seems to be very common and I just can’t diagnose it. Hoping with all your UZ knowledge you may know what this issue is?
@CartuneNZ2 жыл бұрын
Its quite normal with them to idle around 525rpm which is the stock factory spec on many models. With the 3uz we can reflash the ecu to increase the base idle if required. Cheers Kelvin

Please tell me what u said : "Stupid mirror, still the AViS isn't working." What is the AViS ? Or did U say another acronym? What were the four letters U said? And what do they stand for?

Just put the deposit down on a 01 celsior picking it up in 2 weeks would you recommend getting the ecu reflashed and checked up on incase it needs repairs or just buy a new one then send you the old one to keep once the new arrives? If so how can I contact you about pricing and options etc
@CartuneNZ2 жыл бұрын
I an doing more and more of the 3uz repairs as maintenance so Id definately get a repair and then reflash as who doesn't want some easy power to make the car more fun. Email info@thecartunecompany.co.nz Cheers Kelvin

In need help, 2001 ls430 cylinder 1 misfire p0301, replaced all plugs and 2 coil packs, still have cylinder 1 misfire, I disconnected the coil plug while the spark plug was still in motor, plug the old coil pack with the old spark plug attached that I removed, started the car and soon as I move the coil and plug on a ground surface the plug started sparking, I’ve tried to trace down the ground source but no luck, please someone tell what I’m overlooking, thanks.

Have you done the basics like confirmed the cylinder is healthy with a compression test? Checked for air leaks? Moved injectors to see if it moves? Checked wiring back to the ecu?
@MrDmackk2 жыл бұрын
@@CartuneNZ Didn’t perform the compression check yet but I did buy a new injector and it’s pulsating like the old one I took out.

hey from florida. my 02 LS430 with 116k miles is giving me a P1354 code. I've replaced the solenoid on bank2 twice now but the code keeps coming back. The wiring has also been restored and is a tight fit. Someone pointed me to an ECU repair at this point. do you have any advice for this code, would a reflashed ECU help with this? My transmission lags when shifting and idle is slightly rough
@CartuneNZ2 жыл бұрын
I recommend testing the circuits correctly, Id confirm resistance , continuity and polarity. I'd also be checking mechanical stuff like cam timing, the tips of the triggers and solenoid operation along with actuator operation. a Reflash rarely fixed faults like this. cheers Kelvin

Hello, I'm from Poland, I have a problem with leather, it shows error P0980 and P0977, i.e. solanoids. I checked the solanoids and they are all working, can the cause be in the ECU? Auto is lexus LS430 2004
@CartuneNZ2 жыл бұрын
Yes, could be ecu, fluid quality, and ive seen wiring faults too. I recommend proper diagnosis.
