Our India being a rich country inhabited by the poor is full of swamis and godmen. RK Narayan's novel, The Guide, depicts this lucidly. Dev Anand made it into a successful Hindi movie with some evergreen hit songs. When he came out of jail, unable to face reality, he simply boarded a bus and went to a far-flung village and landed on an abandoned mandir hungry. The innocent villagers mistook him for a new sadhu baba and started offering Puja items. Soon a drought happened and villagers stopped bringing in fruits and eatables for a rumour went round the village that the baba was fasting to bring rain on the parched fields. In short a convict was taken by innocent and gullible villagers for a Swami was the thematic content of the story. This pensive comedy has an appeal and applicability in this mundane world of shredded metaphysics.

You've gone to Hathras, UP. Fine. Good. What about Chopra, Jalpaiguri and Kamarhati incidents recently where three women had been lynched in a Kangaroo Court? The second woman after being lynched committed suicide by consuming pesticide. In Kamarhati mother and son got lynched and now in hospital. You don't cover any of them at all!! Why?! Because the accused are all from TMC, the ruling party in WB? Because in the last incident TMC leader Madan Mitra from Kamarhati is directly responsible?! Are you sure you are not funded by the TMC party? And you dare to call yourself a journalist!! As a journalist, if you are one, you are bound by your professional ethics and code to be unbiased and without being biased report all incidents in the interest of the general public, irrespective of the country and political party.
