you can certainly say that he's no yandev. this mash games developer is actually making a game that looks like it will be actually legendary and even the demo/alpha releases alone look so promising. the smooth physics just tie it all together. this game really looks like it's gonna need all the time it needs to simmer to perfection. it's the silksong for extreme sports fans.

The thing is didn't he say it would be released in 2021 then 2022 and now he said for sure it would 2023, I don't want to stress him I feel bad for how much pressure he's getting but it wouldn't have been so bad had he not kept promising it then delaying it, I feel like if he had hired more developers and not just himself and also made it so that you could mod PIPE so on PC and console easily people wouldn't be so pissed off and desperate, it's been 6 years since it was released and 8 years since the start of development.

taking so long to release this game without any actual marketing is just going to lead to the game likely being very good but also a complete failure in terms of success, and its a shame knowing this guys life work is going to be basically forgetting about in a shorter time than it took him to make it lol ultimately a waste of time, dude has just been living off pipes steam sales thinking he's going to take the video game world by storm once a new bmx game comes out. When the reality is I would bet my life this game doesn't see over 1k concurrent players 6 months after launch. Seen it time and time again, once the game launches there WILL be issues of course, and a 1 man team can't work fast enough to update the game before the community disappears. Just look at the current player base number for Undisputed, a boxing game that literally millions of people have been begging for over tha last decade since fight night is no longer being made. Hundreds of youtube videos with millions of views discussing how badly they want a new boxing game... then undisputed comes around after 5 years of development and 9 months in early access its all but completely dead with 400 avg players lol. Same thing happened with Skater XL, and is now happening with Session skate sim as well. You can't build hype for this long to THIS niche of a userbase... These devs just don't understand audience capture AT ALL, they simply do not understand that building this type of hype for a small 1 man project that has taken 10 years to make is straight up a recipe for disaster. They game is going to launch with fatal flaws and bugs that the 1 single dev won't be able to fix before the game dies, making his 10 years of work completely pointless. It's like if you as a youtuber stopped making videos, did nothing but advertise that your next video is going to be a BANGER, then you spend 3 years making that video so 99% of people completely forget about you and whoever is left to actually watch the video has the expectations set so extremely high that you will surely disappoint them while you lose all the people you would have impressed. also keep in mind Mash was literally DMCA striking people who shared demo versions of Pipe early in development, theres a reason he doesn't really interact with the community all that much, he doesn't like you guys.
