My most recent customer service experience - biggest big box store - my change was only $.02, but I expected the cashier to give it to me non-the-less. She closed her register drawer and said “have a nice day”. I said “don’t I have some change coming to me”? She looked at my receipt and looked at me as if to say “you’re making a big deal over $.02?!” I just stood there and stared at her. She had to get a manager to reopen the drawer. Sheesh. What the heck!? The money wasn’t really the issue. More that they just don’t care about good service. This was an older lady, not a kid.
@angelasfashionmix49889 ай бұрын
It's the principle and our money. Yeah, I know it's not just the kids, which is sad. I had a KFC cashier at a "charity tip" of .15 to my order. I didn't know that until I waited for the change and then he tried to play it off by saying something dumb.

Happy New Year, Angela. I began to watch your videos approximately 2 to 3 months ago. I just love them (to take one of your often used phrases). First of all I love the way you describe the fashions that you show and most of all the many ways in which you mix pieces in ways I may never have thought to do. Your videos have caused me to go through my closet and do some matchup and I'm having so much fun doing it. Keep up the good work and I will continue following you.

I stand right there and say my penny please. If they take 2 cent from 50 customers, that’s $1- for the store, not even for themselves. I love the fact she had to get the manager for your 2cent. 😂😂. Next time don’t assume.

And I've seen that some managers don't want to discipline the employees because they don't want to lose them, only for the count and coverage which is not good for the overall company

Totally agree. I know customers can be a trip, but some workers literally look at customers like we’re doing them a favor by walking in. Basic acknowledgement of someone’s presence, and saying ‘thank you’ goes a long way.

Hi Angela, I don't know exactly what's going on, but people in general seem to have gotten more rude and nasty of late. I worked in banking and finance, at one time I managed our customer service department, and I personally taught a class on the importance of customer service. I always emphasized that good customer service, will increase a company's chance to turn a potential customer into a loyal customer! Your hubby has fantastic taste, love your bags and shoes... Angela, NEVER order at the window. Rarely do I eat out and I go inside to see what they’re doing with my food. I am 60+ and I remember some of my antics as a fast food employee. Fast forward upon retiring I worked at a popular donut and coffee shop. I’ve seen the folk sleep in their cars, come in and immediately start coffee and prepping for sandwiches. Remember management is about 21 years old, never prepared a meal at home, and the establishment needs a body. I approach with a warm greeting and a compliment to deescalate an already foreseen bad interaction. I also used to mystery shop fast food. Angela, please give your hard earned money to Mom and Pop restaurants where it’s truly appreciated. This will help you BP stay normal ❤❤❤

I ‘m so glad that the Holy Spirit lives in me and I’m no longer in my 20’s . That old me would most likely have picked up that food and threw it on her, then asked “ now do you have something to say” expletive that rhymes with itch 😂😂 and walked out. But see, you handled it with patience and effectiveness by calling the manager. Ok, whew ! That was a moment. 🤭 The handbags are absolutely beautiful. Hubby did good, real good . I have the D&B handbag too, it was a gift from me to me. I also have the booties but they are multi-colored. I’ll try to send you a pic later. I get so many compliments on them whenever I wear them. I really like them in the black as well. Classy looking. I too love that strapped bucket bag and on the lookout for one or something similar, it’s a really smart handbag and the color goes with most anything. Looking forward to your “Looks “ or outfits of the day “ shorts “ with the bags. 😊

Hey Angela, customer service is at an all time low, especially since the pandemic. Be careful with your interactions when buying prepared food. I do the same, I reward good customer service; even if I have to do it by phone. When dining out, I leave a note of appreciation on the receipt. When management sees their copy, they also know. I know that after 30 years you know your hubby is a keeper; he pays attention. Those shoes and bags are 🔥🔥

Ugh, that all sounds so bad. I recently had to call Lazy Boy about the throw pillows on my sofa. The feathers kept coming out. They told me the warranty was expired on the pillows so I decided to take it further. I got a rude salesperson at the store I purchased my sofa. I bypassed all of the no’s and went to the top via email. I finally got what I wanted and picked out a new fabric for new pillows to be sent. Even at the top the person I spoke with took her time getting it resolved. I stayed the course (they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with-🤨) Finally got the pillows (whew-😅). But on the other end, my husband and I had an incredible experience at Staples and I noted everything and sent a letter to the corporate office and they responded which was nice. Angela, just remember the work you put in earning your money and don’t throw those pearls to swine 🐖. We deserve the best even if it’s a thank you for your business, or a what else can I do for you. Those businesses are out there and those are the ones that get our money. 😊💵

Yes customer service has really gone downhill over the years. When I was in nursing school and I was working at the local McDonald's and it was very busy because it was downtown Pittsburgh during the morning when everyone is going to work and we had to be on top of everything the things that people do nowadays and customer service was the type of stuff we would have got written up for or fired. I am a registered nurse and I've been a registered nurse for 31 years and to be honest with you it is even crossed over in healthcare. The nurses and the doctors are not trained The Way We were and patient care has really gone downhill as well so it isn't all different help professions as well as fast food, department stores, restaurants I've had several experiences at restaurants that made me just want to go home and cook. Etc

Angela I had a similar experience in a high end grocery store here in San Francisco. I wanted some fried chicken from the deli. The service woman stood at the other end of the counter looking at her phone. I had to walk to her to ask for help and she still didn't come to wait on me. Then she yelled down to me she would be back and left me standing there. Of course everything is taped. Store manager reviewed tape. Customer service greatly improved over all in this store.

Hello Angela, I think we are lacking public communication and humility and some company are not teaching these very important things to they employees. Some people let they emotions, what they are experiencing that day and the fact that life has thrown a curveball and they take it out on people they are serving. One day I encountered just behavior and I asked her, ‘ do you know me’ and she ask why ? In a calm demeanor I say maybe I had done something to hurt you because of your attitude towards me. That response changed everything.
@angelasfashionmix49889 ай бұрын
A great counter to her behavior. I realize that people have personal frustrations, but I tend to think it's A LOT of what you started out saying. If it's not taught and companies aren't taking the time to train, we get any and everything. Companies can learn a lot from Chick-fil-A. I've had one issue in ALL of the years I've gone there. We were in line one night about 9:10. There were about 8 cars in line, but the line wasn't moving, which of course is odd. An employee was leaving and we asked what was taking so long. Turns out, there was an inside issue of some kind and they closed at 9:00, but failed to let the waiting customers outside know 😁.
