Was lucky enough to see them when barely anyone knew of them, 78 your on NOLA, then again VHII tour in 78 and 81 for 2 days opening for Stones and of course the first reunion tour. RIP EVH...he will live and be loved forever! Most don't give DLR his first but one of greatest front man of all time

I’d love to find out some day! My beagle Wibley had a crush on Rus! Seriously! Anytime I’d watch Dave and Rus was around she’d perk up. I think Dave casts a shadow the Taj Mahal would be envious of! And trust me I never took my BEST girl to a VH concert! 😂

We played 'Quarters' with Roth up in dressing room at the Whiskey-a-GoGo on the night they reopened the place back in the 80s. You see, you drank John Daniels if ya got the quarter in the tumblr. In the ‘90’s, I resided in Pasadena, and I worked nights (ICU/CCU) at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center… the very halls in which DLR roamed. Each night, which was a ghost town, I would walk by the VH donor plaque. Kind of cool sharing this unique history with Diamond Dave.

Growing up in the 80s as a 15 old boy everyone wanted to be Dimond Dave Lee Roth and now I'm 53 got a super hot wive and a normal life I guess but man thinking of jamming to VanHalen back then is still some of my best memory's of a life well lived to the fullest!! But seriously watching Dave reinvent himself into something even more amazing shows me life isn't over yet and there still plenty of gas left in the tank !! God bless you Dave for who and what you are and who your going to be tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that who knows what tomorrow will bring but it will always be a beautiful ride getting there with Dave holding the wheel !!

Hey Dave. I watched you LIVE at the US FESTIVAL in 1983. Even though you were drunk, I loved everything about that concert. I even recorded it on CASION audio tape. I think they disintegrated already. I had a CANDLE ghetto blaster on my end-table with the audio and my TV on CHANNEL 79 back then in Toronto, or it could have been 57, as they changed to that later, and I had the audio through my ghetto blaster and I was watching it on TV. It was a cloudless early evening when you and Van Halen went on. You were so “COOL” back then, I loved your wardrobe girl, she knew how to get you guys done up original., so you didn’t look like everyone else. I liked watching the pre-concert interview, when you were asked “ Howdo you feel about being paid $1,000,000 for this concert ? “ and you said “How do we spell relief - ONE M. I . L. L. I. O.N.” , that was so clever Dave, you always came up with the right chit😂😂😂
