This poor baby boy just doesn't look right and soon the reason becomes apparent.

He's so beautiful. His eyes are so bright and intelligent. :) He looks like he says, "Where is she???" Then, they both look back and forth as if to respond. So cool.

Thank you..... Fantastic video! Glad you weren't smashed up while filming. It sounded like a close call! What a nice auntie? to take such gentle care of her little nephew? so sister? could do her thing!

The monkey holding the little guy, is his aunt. She was baby-sitting, & keeping the baby safe until mom gets back.

Have you been smoking crack? They kidnap the babies and either torture it death, play with it like a chew toy or just hold for days until it starves to death. You are very delusional.
@suetaylor11272 жыл бұрын
Besides thats a teenaged macaque way too young.
@PrimateProductions2 жыл бұрын
@@suetaylor1127 it's obvious that your knowledge of macaques is limited to what you have watched on KZbin videos-of humanized macaques!! There are many scientific research journal articles and observations of macaques that actually do what is referred to as "aunting" (and it looks much different from "kidnapping"). It is when, usually another female and often a juvenile, will care for another female's infant for a period of time exactly like you are seeing in this video. Surely you can at least see that this is not his mother by the way he is looking all around for her and making the call that they do when looking for their mother and by the fact that he has not once even attempted to suckle this female, right? Do you see her abusing him? There are several videos of this particular female (who does happen to actually be his maternal aunt) and another female (also the mom's sister) frequently "babysit" this particular baby. It's not super common to see the behavior they exhibit but his mom generally comes back for short periods of time to nurse him and then leaves him with one of 2 or 3 of these females for a lot of the time they are bring observed by this VO.

Why are these tiny babies so darn adorable?? Those ears, little guy is calling for his mom, if it's not a kidnapper then it might be a relative but definitely not mom, cuz he looks sad, and looking/calling for mom.. finally he is returned to mom..

I love the grandma she's a great baby sitter, the baby is a good little boy. The mother is getting some thing to eat for herself, and has grandmother watching her little one. That is so important to us to watch, Thank you for educating us, it means a lot. Thanks Again ,love your viedos .

God Bess the child. He keeps looking from side to side looking over at any clearance he can find to see if Mom is near. The Aunt is so gentle with him and seems to show him she is there. ( or that's what I would like to think )The Aunt and the other monkey seem to take special care of this little guy and he waits patiently.

you know situations like this really show I higher level of thought and communication how else does the mom ask aunt to watch baby for a while you dont see this in other animals would have liked to see the interactions before mom left for a min would be interesting to try and see if you could recognize more advanced language use they have to be using it
@angelacarleton95754 жыл бұрын
I agree - I would have liked to see the exchange they made unless it was understood she was leaving and the aunt recognizes her departure from the baby monkey.
@PrimateProductions2 жыл бұрын
There are several videos like this one and no there is no sophisticated communication going on when she leaves him with these other females. I'm sure it has been prearranged based on the fact that she just walks off when she finishes nursing him and one of these females pick him up and restrain him from going after his mom.🙂

Great video. It is obvious that that baby doesn't belong with this female. She is patient and waits until the mom gets back and takes good care of the baby until then. I am relieved you didn't get hit by the car. Please be careful. What would we do if we couldn't get our baby monkey videos. Thanks for your beautiful videos and explanations.

Why is this not Knotty? His Mum looks like Knotty's Mum and while we are talking about babies without Mum, why isn't Baby Snatched is just a loving baby sitter for a Mum who either doesn't want a baby or needs a break. I would sign-up to be a baby sitter - those baby monkeys are just too cute!!!!

so many of there interactions are fast and slight but they do have more of a language or depth of communication than we think
@PrimateProductions2 жыл бұрын
Than who thinks? There has been a lot of research and observations of these macaques specifically and they have a pretty good idea of their communication skills. You are thinking way too hard about it and giving them too much credit.

I wonder why the aunties put up with this? It's one thing to help each other out, but Knotty's mom expects so much from her "village," especially when they could never trust her to watch their kids for more than 5 minutes. Knotty's mom must be dominant over them because when she comes back we see the two aunts immediately start to groom her (monkey version of "kissing-ass).

Put up with it? What can they do about it besides watch the baby when mom leaves it?
@bonniemoore34616 жыл бұрын
THE BABY SUFFERS THE MOST WHEN THESE SO CALLED " AUNTIES " WATCH THE BABIES. THE CHILDREN DO NOT LIKE THE " AUNTIES " THEY WANT THEIR MOM . PLUS WHEN THE BABIES GET HUNGRY NO ONE CAN FEED THEM NOT UNLESS THEY HAVE CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN THAT THEY ARE NURSING. THESE BABIES HAVE TO STARVE UNTIL THEIR MOMS SHOW UP !! THAT HAS GOT TO BE TRAUMATIZING FOR THESE YOUNG BABIES !!!!!!!
@picketfence20285 жыл бұрын
That's Gypsy! That face, the plucking! You know I always felt like the 'aunt's hounded and chased her with baby Knotty, taking him from her. Considering her rank, she didn't have any power to ward them off, so maybe she didn't get to bond with Knotty like she did Knitty. Knitty also was more persistent in his pursuit of her. He built her confidence as a mother because he helped fight off the aunts. I can't wait to see her with her new baby girl! ;)

Arroz Marisco --- What was the "point" of this video? What was the viewer supposed to take away from it? First, with all the auto traffic it seemed like (to me) that you were going to pan to the mother having gotten hit by a car...Then the obvious age of the female holding him and clearly too old to nurse him? Then at the end: WTF? Please don't start getting like Genza3333 where the titles and the content have no connection whatsover!...
@conniecosminsky92727 жыл бұрын
How can the title be confusing? Where is mum? The baby is calling for and looking all around for...wait for it... Mum!!

"Mutton refers to the flesh of the mature ram or ewe at least one year old; the meat of sheep between 12 and 20 months old may be called yearling mutton. The meat of sheep 6 to 10 weeks old is usually sold as baby lamb, and spring lamb is from sheep of five to six months." -Britannica.com
