Where is Rough Country Actually Made?

I used to hate on rough country until what just happened. I order a 4 inch long arm kit for my jeep wj and in the mail I received a 6 inch kit for a silverado. Needless to say I wasn't happy. I called their customer service and an actual person IMMEDIATELY picked up the phone and asked me to send over pictures of what I received and he then agreed they sent the wrong item. Then I thought they were going to make me send back the parts they sent me before sensing back what I order which is exactly what most other companies and would do and what they did instead absolutely shocked me. Not only did they allow me to keep that entire 6 inch kit for a silverado but they also agreed to give me a discount on the original order because I stated I was on the clock waiting for these parts. So not only do I now have a kit that I can sell for almost double the price of what I originally paid but I also got almost half my money back... well played rough country well played. You now have a costumer for life. Don't get me wrong I definitely value quality but even more than that I value the actual value for dollar and arguably more so I value the way a company treats their costumer and I don't know if I've ever worked with a parts supplier that would have done what they did. They basically just paid me 3 grand to just give me the most expensive lift kit they make for the wj... thats absolutely insane to me.

Some clarifications on the shock side of things. 05:49 the N3 are twin tube shocks, not monotube shocks, and pretty positive they're not manufactured in the US. 06:20 the V2 monotube IFP shocks are direct copies of Fox 2.0, but dont have the same rod strength or seal quality, better warranty though (made in Thailand) 06:45 the Vertex coilovers are direct copies of Fox 2.5 DSC. (made in Thailand)

I just got my kit. Loaded struts and the N3 shocks are stamped made in China. So these dudes are lying.

Yeah I live in same town where rough country is. If I have an issue I just go right to the factory. I was having questions about a lift kit for a 17 silverado and they had me bring my truck up there and they put it on a lift and walked me through the process of installing it, they have always been very good to the locals. I just wish they would tone down the logo on some of their products.

Installed a 6 inch Rough Country kit on my 1994 k1500 a few months ago and so far I'm really impressed. And all parts say "Made in USA". Which made me happy.

I installed a 3.5" coilover lift on my 2016 1500 Silverado. Been running it about 1.5 years. I have the v2 shocks. One went bad on me this week. Replacing them with fox. Overall, Im happy with my purchase. Was able to fit a 295/70/R18 with very minimal rubbing at lock. ( Cooper STT Pro)

It's a 4" and they're charging me $460. I ordered some fog lights and RC rear wheel liners also that they're going to put on for me.

I’ve installed several RC lift kits for my vehicles over the years. Overall I think they are a solid product for the money. I have noticed that their leaf spring packs are typically made in Mexico.

I've installed quite a few of their kits with no issues. When I ordered the wrong kit, their customer service was excellent and they wouldn't allow me to pay the shipping to correct the problem. Before you talk junk, do you have 1st hand experience?

Their steering dampeners literally have a stamp that says made in China, and their leaf springs have a stencil that says made in Indonesia. But that was a couple years ago. Maybe they’ve changed? I’ve seen some springs from RC that are made in Mexico.

I just got my kit (2024) the loaded N3 struts and the N3 shocks are stamped made in China. The coils are made in the US.

They ride great for me but one thing i’ve seen is the coating on the struts and shocks rust insanely fast.

We see some pretty harsh road treatments here in WI that deteriorate the finish on a lot of shocks, not just RC- not sure if that’s the case by you too. Aluminum body is the way to go if that’s the case! -Fuller
