WHERE IS TERUEL, ARAGON .Teruel is a Spanish province of the autonomous community of Aragon, with its capital in the homonymous city of TERUEL. It is found mainly in the southern area of ​​the Iberian system, although a part of the provincial northeast, in the so-called Bajo Aragón, already belongs to the Ebro depression. TERUEL has a surface area of ​​14,809 km² and a population of 134,545 inhabitants ( INE 2021), of which a quarter live in the capital. This means a population density of 9.08 inhab./km², one of the lowest in the country. It currently comprises 236 municipalities, most of them sparsely populated. The most important municipalities, apart from the capital, are Alcañiz, Andorra, Calamocha, Calanda and Utrillas.
