Heck, I drove a Jaguar XJ6 for 20 years ( the same one). Every little thing cost $700 to fix it. The bonnet and boot lids wouldn't stay up on their own, the glovebox wouldn't stay closed, the driver's door was hard to get into. It's was still a flawless beauty that ran like a dream but it was time as I wasn't an auto hobby mechanic. I like to think it's still living a good life out there. After seeing that advert for the 2026 model they're rolling out, it's not at all the vibe.

There is so much wrong with that ad. The brief scene that caught my attention was how a man turns and swipes a paintbrush across the camera, pandering to the nut-bags that splash paint on classic works of art. Greta Thunberg must have consulted on that ad. This ad is aimed at those bent of the destruction of modern society. I suspect that, rather than being like Budlight, this is more like how Kathleen Kennedy has been destroying male spaces by trashing traditional male hero film franchises like Marvel, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc. Disney has lost, and continues to lose huge sums of money with all these disasters. But, no one seems to care. This is corporate funded activism that is far more dangerous than a simple marketing faux pas. The corporate symbol of a Jaguar has now gone from a ferocious, beautiful feline cat to a meowing, neutered, and highly neurotic, lap kitty. The new name for "my Jag" will change to "my trans" as Jaguar has now transitioned into "Trans-uar." They should learn that detransitioning is not an easy thing to do, and is sometimes impossible to do. Buh-by Jaguar. It was a great British brand at one time. It was fun while it lasted. Meow.
