The Garden of Eden is the first location mentioned in the Bible, and is the backdrop for one of the most iconic histories of the Bible: The lives of Adam and Eve and their fall from grace. Whether or not you believe this to be true history or a purely symbolic or legendary account, it seems undeniable that the Bible itself treats the Garden as a real place. So where is it?

This fascinates me The Garden of Eden created by Our Mighty God! I understand That God Placed I believe 2 Angels over The Garden of Eden and no longer were we privileged to be there. Most of them are only pointing at the rivers as the evidence where to find Eden and the garden of eden. You need to consider the other things that can be found in the Eden like stones, spices and much more. All of them saying that they already located the garden of eden lacks those evidence according to the bible itself.

After however many thousands or millions of years, it is unlikely that any evidence in pristine condition will have survived lol. Which is why we need serious archaeological attention given to this area. Has anyone even conducted a LIDAR survey?

Interesting thought. I wonder if what the Genesis two account means is that the rivers diverged from where they connected into four upstream tributaries which, if followed upward to their sources, eventually reached their headwaters in various regions ranging from turkey to Iran. Those rivers don't diverge from one identifiable source, they do however converge into one identifiable location in southern mesopotamia--in this sense it would be from this point downstream where they were seen as dividing upwards into their four headwaters. The various different locations of the headstreams make it impossible for them to all connect in one small spot where there was likely a garden, as these locations are hundreds of miles apart from each other. Even in thinking about the nature of headwaters this makes sense. I think the location of the garden may be near the persian gulf

Arthur Donehower the Old Testament in genesis talks about how Noah had to gather animals in a ark including his family because the world was full of sin,hatred and so it says every living being,structure,everything was destroyed. Just a theory but Eden was possibly a mountain and the garden may have been on the sides of the mountain... Then the river splits into four headwaters Genesis 2:10. One of those rivers, the Gihon flowed through Israel, as Gods word says.. I'm just summarizing to save space. 2 Chronicles 32:3-4 & 32:30, 1 Kings 1:33, 2 Kings 20:20, and Isaiah 22:11. Hezekiah built a channel to divert the Gihon to water the west side of the City of David and God said that He planned its course long ago. And given that Enoch, in Genesis 5:24 walked with God and was shown the mysteries of heaven. In the Book of Enoch, God had an angel guide Enoch throughout the Earth. Enoch traveled from the center of the surface of the earth and was taken to the Garden of Eden. Based on his travels, Eden may have been located in the Black Sea (before the flood) and all four rivers flowed out of the Black Sea. In Isaiah 14:13 Satan says "I will raise my throne above the clouds in heaven, above the stars (angels) of God, I will sit on the mount of assembly in the FAR REACHES of the NORTH." Mount of Assembly, where God created Life, including Adam. Now geologically, most people consider the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt to be the center of all landmass, so from there. Enoch would end up in the Black Sea. Of course, God's word says that Israel (Jerusalem) is "The Navel/Center of the world", Ezekiel 5:5 also 38:12. I have not looked into this yet, but if Enoch's journey starts in Israel, then the Garden of Eden may be located in a different place. I don't take peoples word for it so I try to do my own research but I do not think the Garden could be in the Pursian Gulf and I'm not saying that it is in the Black Sea either. Ok i will try my very best english for my commment in our tv program called “kapuso mo Jessica Soho" ( a TV magazine program in the Philippines) there is episode about the skull found in the cave, the skull is a human skull (i thisk the episode was released last 2018 or mid 2019) the expert shocked about fhe findings coz the skull's race is older than homo-erectus. Homo erectus is the ancient ancestors of the modern humans and lived a million years ago. Now imagine how old the race of the skull is. That is crazy but i can't remember. So the Philippines has the finding of oldest race older than homo erectus i'd say there is a possibility that the Philippines was really a part of yhe history of histories. But im not sure that the location of garden of edens is in the Philippines

Regarding Genesis 2:10, She says, "This is interpreted to mean fours rivers joined into one and that one river flowed through the garden and emptied into the gulf" It does not matter what translation of the Bible you read, Genesis 2:10 is simply saying one river watered the garden of Eden and then splits off into four rivers. Let's check it out: New International Version A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. New Living Translation A river flowed from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into four branches. English Standard Version A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. Berean Standard Bible Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it branched into four headwaters: King James Bible And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. New King James Version Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. I am a Christian but also scientist- how do we explain that science does show evolution took place and that light was formed before any matter. I have a hard time taking genesis to be truly accurate as to how the earth started and how we came into existence. I am a secular Christian I have no other choice. We must allow science to discover the truth. I am not so sure this book is anything short of allegory.

I love the fact thar God’s word interprets itself. Eden was a physical place located in the Middle East, not far from present day Jerusalem. My response is that the Bible does not say God used fire to lock the garden away from humans. Neither does the Bible say God used angels to keep men out of the garden. I will quote for you the verse that explains what God actually did. [Genesis 3:23-24 "therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life".] A proper reading of the scripture shows that God only placed cherubim or angelic beings and a flaming sword to keep humans from getting to the tree of life. But human beings were still free to access all the other trees in the garden including the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, who is the devil. So even to this day the tree of life is only accessible to those who are saved and have been declared righteous by faith. All non believers cannot eat from the tree of life until and unless they pass through the flaming sword which is the word of God which is the barrier between the dead and the living. That is why Jesus explained that he was the way, the truth and the LIFE and that noone came to the Father except through him. Meaning to get to the east side of Eden where the tree of life is located, you need to pass through Jesus who is the flaming sword and the door of the sheep who have believed in him. I will quote from the Lord Jesus himself. [John 10: 7-7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I would probably subscribe to the view that the Garden of Eden was in the land of Israel. It would make the most sense from a theological and salvation-history perspective. Ezekiel makes comparisons between Israel and Eden and Israel becoming like Eden. Also, in Rev 22 the tree of life stands in the New Jerusalem. Most people don't think about this but life in the New Heaven and New Earth will be in a sense a 'great reset' where the redeemed humanity will be a Phase 1 where Adam & Eve were except this time will be eating from the Tree of Life. There's no Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in Rev 22 unlike Gen 3 because humanity will already be perfected by that time! The point is we're all living in Paradise with God in a perfect world, presumably back in the Garden of Eden except this time there will be no Fall or no eating from the wrong tree. It will be the kind of world as if Adam & Eve had eaten from the right tree!
