Rectify the affairs of the Muslims in Palestine, and in every place, O Lord of Majesty and Honour" اللَّهُمَّ مَكِّرْ لَهُمْ، وَاكْفِهِمْ بِمَا شِىْٔتَ، إِنْ تَنْصُرْهُمْ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَهُمْ، وَإِنْ تَخْذُلْهُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ ( Allahumma makkir lahum, wakfihim bimā syi’ta, in tanşurhum falā ghāliba lahum, wa in takhzulhum faman zal lazī yanşurhum min ba‘dika ) "Our Lord! Palestine: the Land of the Prophets Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) ‘Ibrahim was indeed a paragon of virtue, obedient to Allah, ever inclined to Him and he was not of those who set up equals to Allah. He was ever grateful for His favours, We chose him and guided him to a straight path; and We bestowed on him good . Prophet Yusuf (pbuh) “(Remember) when Yusuf (Joseph) said to his father: ‘O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating themselves to me.’”(Quran 12:4) The story of Prophet Yusuf in the Quran is widely considered one of the most beautiful suras.… Prophet Yaqub (pbuh) “We gave him Ishaq and Ya’qub. Each of them We made a Prophet. And We gave them of Our mercy and assigned to them a high and true renown.” (Quran 19: 49-50) Prophet Yaqub (pbuh) was born in Palestine, and was the son of Prophet Ishaq (pbuh). Prophet Lut (pbuh) “And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers” (Quran 37:113) Prophet Lut (pbuh) was the paternal nephew of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh). He was commanded by Allah (swt) to spread the message of Islam to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah Prophet Sulaiman (pbuh) “And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows”. (Quran 27:17) Prophet Sulaiman (pbuh) was the youngest son of Prophet Dawood (pbuh) and was born in Jerusalem. Prophet Ishaq (pbuh) “And We gave him the tiding of the birth of Isaac, a prophet among the righteous”. (Quran 37: 112) Prophet Ishaq (pbuh) was the second son of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh), a miraculous gift from Allah (swt). Prophet Ishaq (pbuh) is considered an important prophet in Islam. Prophet Musa (pbuh) “And (remember) when We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)] and the criterion (of right and wrong) so that you may be guided aright”. (Quran 2:53) Prophet Musa (pbuh) was sent by Allah (swt) to the Pharaoh of Egypt and the Israelites for guidance. Prophet Isa (pbuh) “Verily, the likeness of ‘Iesa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” - and he was”. (Quran 3:59) With most scholars citing Bethlehem, in today’s occupied West Bank, as the birth place of Prophet Isa (pbuh). Prophet Dawud (pbuh) “And your Lord knows best all who are in the heavens and the earth. And indeed, We have preferred some of the Prophets above others, and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms)” (Quran 17:55) Prophet Dawud (pbuh) ruled Palestine for 40 years, 7 years.
