These people feel about obsolete electronics like I feel about vintage or obsolete kitchen items. I deal with lots of props people, too, in my line of work, and I can understand the joy this brings the people in this video.

Places like this are literal gold. We HAVE to have items like this, in working condition, preserved for future movies and also what if someone is curious enough to see how something worked long ago after that technology, the datasheets, etc. are long gone? There is so much importance in places like this they MUST be funded, and exist for the future.

Vintage gear of yesteryear. Those TVs had character and contours. Now we get hard square edges and black plastic that leaves fingerprints everywhere on it.
