@@cheryl5768 the mothership is in a heavy black packaging with a beautiful gold plate on it. I can’t comment on the difference in formula because I have only tried motherships. motherships are known for having luxurious formulas, though progressively there have been some inconsistencies. Also made in Italy. It’s just a more prestige nicer experience. And she released it once a year usually in August. But this year we haven’t seen one. I personally think, though that if they just take some time off to come up with something new and unique for the mothership, their next release will be great, but of course I have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes.

Honestly, same. That divine rose was a gift and a curse for her brand. They clearly want another instant hit palette, but forget the reason it was a hit in the first place. It was so unique to what was out there. But now so many of us what her to go back to how it was. During her Mothership 4 Palette. Beautiful colors that were so different from what was on the market. And you are right, they are deleting comments on their social media that doesn't say nice things about the brand

If you're eyeing a single shadow out of the entire pallete, but the rest is irrelevant to you, I would suggest you check out Clionadh cosmetics and check out the multichrome blues from the Stained glass section. They are insane and so much better than this!

Ok maybe saying I am buying the palette for one shade is a bit of an oversimplification. I like the whole color story and that shade is a deal clincher for me. I almost never use single shadows and have many from Makeup Geek and ABH that I have but I just don't use them that much. Besides having these in one palette also makes it easier to have a nice variety to take with me when I travel.

I’m tempted to finally buy the larger palette-these are everyday colors that I feel comfortable wearing. Kinda smart in my opinion most ppl don’t need to worry about repeat shades-they are just focusing on what sells the most. Got rid of all my pat mcgrath eyeshadow they were getting old. Haven’t been impressed with any of smaller palettes that I bought. Wonder if they will release the mothership later this year-may just get another older mothership not a fan of the newer chunky glitter formula they have now. Glad you reviewed this-more interested in seeing live swatches on collection though.

As an aside: those putty quint shadows crease and fade on me like nobody’s business. And yes, with eye primer. That is usually bulletproof. It’s a bummer, because they look so pretty at first 😭

I believe that Pam McGrath may actually have realized that running a beauty brand may not have brought her as much joy as she thought it would and perhaps she would rather focus on more creative projects. I’m sure are a lot of headaches behind the scenes when it comes to running a mega beauty brand and that could make any creative person lose their joy. So honestly, I think that’s why we’re not seeing her touch anymore. I think somebody else is who means well but is more of a like an accountant type personality.

The only thing I'm continually buying from the brand is Essence, which absolutely amazing. But unfortunately she lost me otherwise. Thank you so much for your video, fantastic as always. 😊

I like the ratio of shimmers to mattes in the palettes. They are generous in that way. Also there are a number of mistakes in the names. But yes, I will be getting the collection.

I think many KZbinrs are ganging up on Pat. Last year she tried something new and people didn’t like it. She went back to the big palette, got some new colors and people complain. Last year I heard many people complain about blush palettes, again. Now they complain because there are none. I’m actually glad she didn’t release a Mothership because I’m tired of the complaints about those as well. Meanwhile Natasha Denona and Charlotte Tilbury keep launching the same pallets and people love it. I get it that people have high expectations for Pat but it is extremely unfair.

can you try the new patrick starr foundation and try it with a gripping primer? i heard from someone it didnt work with milk makeup hydrogrip and i generally only use gripping primers as i am so oily and need stuff to stay on all day. really hope u can review it and compare it to estee lauder double wear

In the past though Pat released the Christmas collection in stages, so maybe they’ll release more sneak peaks. I am disappointed no mothership. It makes me think of the fact that a lot of brands that get acquired goes downhill and that seems to be the case here.

I’m officially old or poor…ok maybe both lol! The last eyeshadow palette I bought was ND I Need A Nude until last week I bought her I Need A Warm palette from Ulta who shipped a single eyeshadow palette in a huge square 2’x2’ box protected by only a thin bubble wrap around the palette…needless to say it was destroyed & I didn’t even care because I’ve literally only been throwing a wash of bronzer across my crease & if I’m feeling extra I swipe the shade ‘Sheen’ from the ND INAN palette w/ my pinky finger!

Honestly and selfishly, at this point I'd actually like to see her re-release the original holiday collection (2018) as a mega mothership - 18 pans, all three palettes all together. It was more versatile and creative than what's going on now and mine are getting OLD. Also the three 6-pan palettes that went with each original mothership, while I'm dreaming. The brand could hype it up and I'd buy every single piece (the lipsticks could also come back) and finally be able to retire some of my favorite shades, because at this point it's probably not smart to keep using them.

Danessa Myricks is definitely worth it! I have 4 of her palettes and they are worth every penny. Especially if you like shifty shades. Her duo and multi chromes are up there with the indies.
