I think it's the Thunder, Celtics or Heat. Thunder/Celtics are safe choices, but the Heat could have more potential. He would be the scoring centerpiece with very different type/non scoring first type of starplayers beside him - other than Wade who is the best sidekick ever (from a mentality standpoint at least). Whiteside. Winslow defense, Bosh(maybe Bosh will retire and his salary would get erased -> other star).These mesh well. You could argue Dwyane Wade made Lebron James who he is today. He's a great mentor and hands down the culture in Miami with Pat on top is just Class A. And more entertainment/show/hype surrounds it - If somebody wants it. I'm not sure about KD here.

The only problem is Cap but if they can trade T Ross and Patterson who have I think 16 mil combined contracts they could make some space. Plus, Toronto is an iso heavy team so it really would be on his shoulders. Also, if we somehow got Derozan too it would be a matchup nightmare. Who would lebron guard? Durant is a star level player. He is way better than curry. If you look at it if curry isn't hitting his threes he is just an average player. The Nba finals proved it. He should go back to OKC. Westbrook in my opinion is the best player in the league. LeBron isn't better than westbrook. If they played in the finals OKC would have destroyed them. When the warriors played OKC Westbrook was scoring almost 25 points per game. Curry on the other hand was hitting way more threes than in the finals. LeBron got fouled almost 30 times in the finals which is way too much. LeBron gets every call because the league loves LeBron and they think he's the best of all time. He's not though. He is one of the biggest floppers ever. If you look at the finals Lebron set Draymond Green up for that suspension and it was just as much LeBrons actions as Draymonds. But knowing the NBA LeBron did not get suspended either. All in all OKC is the smart choice.

I don't think Westbrook is the best player in the world. Look at game 7 between OKC and GS; Westbrook had terrible shot selection, was responsible for many turnovers that shouldn't have happened, and was overall more negative than positive for the team. Sure, he scored a lot of points, but at what cost?

Westbrook actually is THAT good of a player, but whenever his team is down late and it looks like okc is gonna lose, Westbrook usually gets frustrated and takes most of the shots, same for durant

Lol keep the hate up buddy. Westbrook is in now way better than Lebron. Westbrook may have dropped 25 ppg in the Warriors series, but Lebron dropped 30 ppg. Lebron may flop, but he is in no way one of the biggest floppera ever. Varejao flopped way more than Lebron did in the Finals. Curry flops a lot after a lot of the threes he shoots too. Westbrook also flops a lot as well. Lebron is incredibly hard to stop when he's driving, which is which is why he was fouled so much. He technically is fouled on nearly every drive because players have to be extremely physical with him in order to even have a chance. That's why Paul Pierce once said that the only way to stop Lebron is to "straight up tackle him." Draymond is a dirty player who should've been suspended before his game 4 flagrant foul because of how he got away with a nut shot on Steven Adams. Draymond deserved to be suspended anyways because of his nut shot on Lebron. Westbrook is not as good as Lebron. Lebron is way more efficient and dominant. OKC would have lost against Cleveland as well, as Lebron's great perimeter defense and strength would make life hard for KD and Kyrie Irving would make it so that Westbrook could not just have his way all day. Dellevedova could defend Westbrook as well; they're both physical players. But you're right: OKC is the logical choice for Durant.

I'm watching this mid June 2017, just about a week after kd won the finals. I am a wizards fan and I remember the 2014-15 season and the summer of 2015. I was so confident kd was coming to dc in the summer of 2016. We had just won 44 and 46 games in 2013-14 And 2014-15 respectively after being a awful team for about 5 seasons. But I think our 41 win season in 2015-16 really hurt our chances of landing kd in free agency. what hurts me even more is that after we missed out on kd we went 49-33 and nearly beat the 1st seed celtics. I wonder how good my wizards could be for years to come. And now with kd's decision, the nba is ruined. barring any new "superteam" in the east, I wouldn't be surprised if lebron and the cavs( if he stays) and the warriors(if they are kept together) meet in the finals for the next 3 years. the warriors could potentially rule the nba for the next 3-5 years. oh what could have been. thanks a lot, kd, for ruining the nba
