Thank you, very helpful. The awesome thing about underwater photography is that you never stop learning.

Best video i have come across yet - thank you. About to try my dual strobes with Z9 and Nauticam housing for first time ever. Last time i shot underwater was a Nikonos with 36 transparencies so here goes my entry to digital underwater. THANK YOU (wish you were by my side on this live aboard in Indonesia).

This amazing and info filled video needs 1000x more likes. Those names are pretty helpful in remembering the position. Stuff like this is why backscatter is the first place I look for UW gear!

Great video. I love you guys even more for the Rush references. (And the rest of the heavy metal references as well. But especially the Rush refs.) Great memory tricks, fantastic examples, well explained. Well done, Gents.

I'm debating whether to buy two backscatter mini flash or one if mainly I will be doing macro and supermarcro??? Still new to the photo with the strobe!!
@backscatteruw Жыл бұрын
You will probably want to use just one to get started, but then will quickly want to add another one to use especially for remote lighting and back lighting using the Light Pipe and Muck Stick. Get them both in a package and save! www.backscatter.com/Backscatter-Mini-Flash-2-Dual-Remote-Light-Package

Do you have any videos on single strope placement?
@backscatteruw3 жыл бұрын
We go a little more into how to use a single strobe for good macro placement with our TG Best Settings videos, specifically the Macro Photo settings. Most of it applies directly to TG-6, but the strobe positioning stuff is universal.

Awesome info! Question: how can I use a video light as a strobe, for example the kraken hydra 2500, thanks!
@backscatteruw3 жыл бұрын
The short answer is that you can't. A strobe and a video light are two very different tools that serve two different purposes. A video light cannot match the brightness of a strobe, and because of the different ways that the lights function, a video light cannot "freeze" motion on moving subjects or allow you to separate the background exposure from the foreground exposure (like you can with a strobe). We plan to publish more content about this topic soon, but in the mean time feel free to call or email us directly for more info. Thanks!
