Thank You! Interesting that this story was published in 1954, at the height of the Golden Age, and yet it is more like the early Kuttner of earlier decades producing fantastic fantasy in the Weird Tales style and reminiscent of Abraham Merrit and H.G. Wells.

Kuttner left us way too soon. He was only 43 when he died. His wife, C.L. Moore, was a very good writer as well, and they often collaborated. My favourite of his was “The Mimsy”.

There is a reason why I prefer reading books over listening to them, but sometimes needs must. Though the narrator is not the best, I like “picturing” the stories I read based on what my own mind brings to it.
