The initial stat for protagonist is 5 in all stats until you make the stat choice in which the stat changes to +2/-2 depending on if you choose strength/magic, agility/endurance, or +4/-1 (st/ma/ag/en) if you choose luck.

Just to clarify, there is no random element to what stats go up as you level up. I tested it pretty extensively and compared my results to that of a few streamers that I watched. They make the stat growths look random, but they're actually predetermined. It really doesn't matter, admittedly, as that detail doesn't change the fact that you still end up with the end result you described. Great video as always. Really enjoy your Metaphor videos.

The stats a weighted against what you said to the captain when you signed up at the recruitment centre. If you said you're strong, intelligent, resilient, agile or lucky, your leveling up will be weighted towards that stat

@@safwanmahamud3481 Sure. I hope I calculated this correctly. So my initial choice in the recruitment center is strength, meaning my base str + max archetypes is 45 and mag is 41. So with the final archetype the bonus stats are +10 for both str/mag and +9 for luck. Add the +5 on all stats armor and you end up with 60 str and 76 luck. You want to distribute 39 str and 23 luck to get the max. For the Elemental Master if you add the base stat, archetype bonus, weapon and armor you end up with 72 mag. So you just need to distribute 27 mag to max it. You should have 9 points left to distribute to whatever you want. tldr distribute 39 str, 27 mag and 23 luck.

Keep in mind that the Prince's skills actually use the higher of your strength OR magic, so its honestly find to go heavy magic. I think most people did not realize this and doom/gloomed going heavy Magic.

Great video. I've been looking for something like this. I'm currently in my second playthrough lv 75, I've only allocated 10 points in strength and been saving the rest for the secret boss/full power last boss. Looks like a good safe rule for any playthrough would be to allocate 15-20 in strength/magic, 20 in luck depending on which is the main dmg stat and then go from there, because I've been using the bath salt thing a lot for this playthrough.

Hi Tony! Whatever Archetypes you have unlocked and Mastered will be obtained like that once you acquire them in New Game+. So for example if you have Brawler Mastered, when you acquire it again from Catherina in the Cathedral it'll be Mastered! Any Skills you Inherited will also be purchased and ready for use!

So the stat incenses… if you had to guess, for one Archetype how long would it take to max stats using Incenses? I’m likely gonna do this with all main party members archetypes, so how long am I in for do you think? SPOILER!!! Edit: Allocations for Prince? Assuming Level 99, Mastered all archetypes and Optimal Equipment. Optimal Equipment being not just the ultimate equipment, but whatever the best for raw damage is. That's a tough one to answer Megidolaon! Throughout my whole playthrough, I obtained eight Strength Incense, five Magic Incense, three Enduring Incense, five Speed Incense and four Luck Incense. I stole from every enemy I could and this is all I walked away with. You can not farm the main stats but HP and MP are farmable. So with that information you'd need a lot of playthroughs. I have another video on the channel that shows each party members stats at 99 with all Archetypes Mastered. Rough maths says at least 47+ runs I am not sure which starting question you picked so it may be slightly different. I know what the Magic starting question stats are at 99 so based off those you'd need 43 Strength and 23 Luck to max out both. You only have 32 stats left to allocate but you won't max out Magic as it'll be 93. I wouldn't allocate in Agility since you want to go last if you want to do Damage. This makes it easier to speed tune your party to buff and debuff before your turn. This also assumes you use the Bathblossom!

@ I picked the endurance one because I didn’t realise this affected it. But stat bonuses don’t go into NG+ anyway, right? So I might aswell just choose a different one in NG+ (Strength) and then grind out anyway. 47 runs unfortunately sounds like it’s JUST in the area where it’s incredibly painful but also JUST in the area where I’m very well likely to push through and attempt to do it. However, I’m sure that in coming days a better method must surely come about. So if I’m correct in my assumptions, and choose Strength in NG+, what would the numbers be then?

@@Megidolaon999 I gotchu! Since you'll be saving bathblossoms you'll need 41 Strength and 25 Luck to hit the cap of 99 in both with 32 points leftover to do what you want! Keep in mind the second playthrough has a lot more free days to do normal bath salts so you can do the Magic one to hit cap on all three! You can purchase the bath salts that only boost one stat so I'd advise you do this. Magic would be 90 if you invest the leftover 32 so you only need five Magic bath salts!

I'm close to starting my third playthrough on Regicide Mode and want my MC to loosely stick with the Seeker Line (after the Cathedral) then switch to Royal (when it unlocks in-story). Side note: I started my first and second run with the Magic-Stat answer to Klinger's question, and will do so again.

Alright sounds good Silv! You'll need 45 Strength and 25 luck to hit the cap. You'll have 28 points leftover. You'll need an extra 13 somewhere to max Magic. Since this is your third playthrough use any of the bath salts to make up for missing stats!

You can't max out three stats on your first playthrough using Prince unless you used some bathsalts or incense. Neither are advice as you don't keep the stat increases on New Game+. Either max out Strength with 41 or Magic with 45 and luck with 25. You'll have 32 or 28 points respectively to allocate afterwards to your choice!

It all depends on which Archetype you plan on using since they all have different bonuses when you have them Equipped! I have multiple builds on my channel so perhaps check one or two out and see what you like. I personally don't value Endurance or Agility since I killed every single boss before they had a turn so Endurance does nothing. Agility is equally as bad with One Turn Kill Builds since you want to go last so your teammates can setup Buffs and Debuffs so you can deal the most damage. Having more Agility would only make that harder to achieve.

Thanks for the tips on distributing stats, but I personally prefer maximizing a single stat in every game (well, almost just one). I played it myself through cloud gaming on Boosteroid. By the way, it’s even playable on really low-spec PCs, so if you make a review, a bif part of your audience would find it interesting.

Do we know exactly how maxed stats effect combat? For example how much damage reduction do we get with 99 endurance. What are the chances of dodging with 99 agility. How often do we crit with maxed luck etc.

That's a great question Solt and I'd love to know the answer to it as well! In the demo, I did some testing with the limited resource I had and 30 points of Endurance was 10% Damage Mitigation. Not sure how that translate in the full game however.

didn't go for it in my 1st playthrough, but ng+ with bath salts made me hit 99 str and luck at lvl 63 with basilio on protagonist so now i'm gonna grab 99 agility aswell. i am running a 1 turn nuke build tho with royal thief as buffer and turn generator with formation of vigor and fakers roguery, royal masked dancer spam charge, prince as dps and royal berserker as 2d dps that can debuff turn 1. Even on regicide i had no problem 1 turn nuking everything so far and finish every boss battle unscathed, gonna try and see if i can do that with the endgame bosses aswell. On my 1st playthrough i found out about luck increase from gauntlet runner too late and wasted points on magic and endurance despite going for a strength build later.

I wouldn't advise going for max Agility as you'll only make it harder for your teammates to set you up.

@Naztalgic_Memories that depends on how your team plays tho. My t1 is never used on an attack anyways. It's usually Heros cry, unless I decide to fakers roguery on heismay t1 and hit bonus turns, then I use a stat boost. And if I use the charge right after it will be online when I actually use my attacking skill, just have to reapply it after every time. That's for boss battles only ofc but I don't use buffs on mob fights since I want to conserve mp. Merchant/Tycoon synergy spam takes care of those.

They do Mask. Whichever Archetype you have Mastered before New Game+ will be Mastered when you unlock them again. This means the permanent stat increase they give will be applied! This can not stack multiple times if that's what some people were thinking.
