I loved The Maldives, I did the Conrad Rangali Island in 2019, eleven wholes days of water, fun , and food. Best trip I’ve ever been on.

I have traveled to a lot of places for work in my younger days. I would be away for 2 to 4 months at a time. It was fun, but I realized its usually all the same in the grand scheme of things. Unless the scenery was just something that made me say, "damn this is nice". It wasn't like I had more fun here than there it was all just fun in its different ways. I think traveling is just something else to make you have more talking points. Well at least for me I see it as a talking point. I never really got the entire travel and all of a sudden you are a more worldly person vibe.

I’m a black man who listens almost exclusively to rock music or movie scores. I’ve come to accept, amongst my own, this makes me an outlier. Much the same way Melli’s yearn for globetrotting makes her one. Speaking from personal experience, there are enough problems for us here, in the States, when we go to areas where we have little to no representation. So there is no real reason for us to believe things will be different overseas, where there’s a language barrier and the social mores and codes can be totally divergent from what we know. Couple that with the expense AND time involved and most of us aren’t feeling the urge. But, Monaco does. If she wants to explore this world and broaden her horizons that’s totally cool. But, it does make her an outlier and she needs to be okay with that. Just like I have to be okay with only being able to listen to my music in private. Monaco doesn’t need to worry about us. Just keep doing what she’s doing and doing it safely.

Melli What a beautiful place Tell me which island did you stay on. Did you book your trip threw a travel agency or on your own. Was that spot you staying at all inclusive. What time of the year is good. Keep putting out good content

I think all of the "reasons" people give are rooted in fear. So many people don't even leave their cities, never mind leaving the country, and I think it's just because they are comfortable with what they know, and fear what they don't know. I don't think money is the problem, because they report that Black spending power is 1.6 Trillion+. There's no issues blowing money at the club, in Miami or on a Benz or BMW. A lot of people will need that 1 person to drag them to go, or Lil Baby or someone else to rap about it enough and put it on instagram to get them to go.

Black people spend money on clubs and bottles and don’t even have passports I honestly don’t mind when I’m on vacation I live around them everyday 😂😂😂
