Photographing a nearly 100 year old junkyard in the rural south where nearly five thousand American cars and trucks have been rusting and rotting for decades. All are long gone and beyond repair, but offer wonderful creative opportunities for photography.

That was one of the most creative examples of advertisement, I've seen on KZbin for a while!

Everywhere I looked on this video I saw some incredible abstract opportunities. Wish I had a place like that nearby.

Thanks Todd for this Immensely helpful vlog. Viewing this from the tropics where car junkyards sit amidst a sea of green year round. Been to one junkyard a few times but they somehow the photos I had taken looked uninteresting colour-wise. Your comments about finding car parts, with colours that sit opposite brown in the colour wheel, just gave me a eureka moment. Can't wait for the rain to stop and head out to the junkyard again and apply that insight.

This is the type of subject that I love to shoot……..old, beat up, rusty. I really like seeing what you do with places like this. Great video!

This is epic. Hands down one of the best filming and photography tutorial out there without making the audience feel that it’s giving them a lesson. Thank you so much. Subscribed

Fantastic video. I’m in to cars, especially ‘70s,’80s and ‘90s. It’s kinda what’s lead me to photography. I’m a newbie and just want to take pictures of cool cars. There is a junk yard not far from me that has the same feel as the one you visited. You’ve inspired me to go to it and take some pictures. Thank you. Subscribed to your channel.

I am assuming you are at "Old Car City" in White Ga. I live in Ga and have never understood the lure of that place due to the condition of the grounds. I would imagine the warmer season months would deliver up plenty of wasp , hornets and a plethora of snakes.

Excellent video Todd! You did a great job on the sound, because it was totally believable. That’s a LOT of work from travel, to capture and edit. I was there once in October 2015 with friends and we didn’t make it that far back into the forest. There were mosquitoes though. If I go back it will definitely be in colder months. In the “green season” it’s difficult to get pure light, because everything is bathed in a filtered green cast. On that note, the growth on that window was algae, not mildew. Thanks for the very well produced content. It sure beats watching fast-paced creator choppy style edits.
