Noble 6 is the only Spartan on Noble Team with a completely unknown birth place, birth date, and even FULL name, and has quite a mysterious past. In a February 2010 issue of Gameinformer it says he was born January 30th 2530, making him about 22 years old before dying, but this probably an error since Bungie.net reports no birthdate, and it’s the same day as Kats. It’s probably true, or maybe 2531, because Noble 6 along with 418 candidates were taken in by ONI to begin under Beta Company in the Spartan 3 program. In Halo Reach players are able to customize the look, and gender of Noble 6, but during production meetings for Halo: The Essential Visual Guide, it was confirmed Noble 6 is male. I feel most fans figured he was male already, but it’s interesting that something needs to be researched to be validated -- and honestly opens the possibility for Halo Infinite to start leaving flexible, and moldable grey areas in lore for players to fill their imagination with, so as long as it doesn’t break or affect the story much.
As a child, like 6 or 7 years old, Spartan B-312 started his training. Like many others, he became an orphan due to his parents dying by the Covenant, and was recruited into the Spartan program on the promise of revenge. Unlike Spartan 2’s whom were replaced with diseased flash clones and forced to be ONI’s personal weapon, Spartan 3s were eager to become a super soldiers, and die fighting the Covenant. B312 exceeded training along with only a few others amongst cat 2 teammates, they were eventually handpicked by Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose to serve in special operations.
On July 3rd, 2545, the worst mass casualties of Spartans took place during a UNSC operation to destroy a Covenant refinery. The intent was to stop production and capability of Covenant fueling station, which was conveniently placed just outside of UNSC space. Being successful would triple the time for the Covenant to resupply, and buy humanity time. Ultimately the event ended in 300 Spartan 3 deaths, which you can learn more about in my other video, but thankfully Noble 6 or Noble Team didn’t come, as they would have certainly died.
However, that wasn’t knowledge for everyone that he had survived. B312’s existence had soon been marked out with black ink, top secrecy, and he was soon sent out as a black operator, no profile, non existing, and became an assassin for ONI. And by this time, I estimate Noble 6 was only 14 or 15 years old MAYBE a little older. Coisdenly, His whole Spartan career only lasted 15 years before meeting his end on Reach in 2552, but during his career, he had become known as an efficient lone wolf assassin, having entire rebel groups disappear and single-handedly destroy terrorist organizations. Unfortunately the details of his missions is mostly unknown, but we do know he was pretty busy taking down human insurgestionists during the war, and undoubtedly faced many, many Covenant soldiers. He was used as a personal weapon and bodyguard for ONI, and probably used carefully to take out leaders, or threats to their power. From the little we do know, he was excellent on ground-based combat, and orbital missions. Dr Halsey referred to him as “hyper-lethal” rating, with the only other Spartan having that rating is Master Chief. Yet during this time of intense missions, and combat, he had never seen a glassing prior to the Fall of Reach. Originally Halsey had disdain for the Spartan 3 program, but still saw Noble 6 as equal ability, and trust worthiness to Chief himself.

It would be cool, but considering the immense customization options for Six's armor (not to mention gender), I doubt that we'd get anything like a canon helmet that Six used. However! If Halo Infinite had a feature that could see the helmet/armor used for the campaign in Reach for the Master Chief Collection, something like that might certainly be possible.

My theory for your argument is simple, maybe he was sent into this team secretly just like we don't know his previous adventure only this one is revealed to us or told to as a fan of the series. I always liked that last mission. Just getting the bubble shield and the energy sword was usually enough to let you stay alive indefinitely. The fake death of 6 wouldn’t change the story’s intent of it being emotional and about sacrifice, his death means a lot but his return would mean a lot as well. We should see a mysterious mute spartan with a signs of survivor guilt doing secret stuff in the background giving us fans of the franchise a glimmer of hope, like just few seconds of him being around in Halo Infinite. Because people can think its 6 or someone else, a spartan being known as dead to the public eye would keep him easily in the dark. Hard to notice yet leaves trails of cartridges, used up covenant weapons and bullets around if you take a closer look. Hoping it was 6 but keeps it a mystery.

Lone Wolf chief has blown up multiple covenant fleets, escaped exploding halo rings, fought back the flood, pretty much single handedly. He also defended earth against a whole covenant armada. He’d have a better chance then anyone in a glassing. Edit: Not hating btw, just saying.

The covenant never tried to glass Chief because they were terrified of damaging the Halo rings in any way, and on Earth they didn't have the time or resources to properly glass his area. Also, chief had help against the flood if you've forgotten, between Arby helping to destroy the ring to exterminate the flood in Halo then teaming with him later on in Halo 3.

I'd LOVE for a Halo game to have us return to Reach as Chief and we get flashes or musical cues from Reach. Hell even finding Six's recovered armour would be amazing. Having Chief see the armour of the one responsible for his survival would be a very emotional moment. In the back of my head I like to hope Six survived somehow but the chances of that are close to zero.

Jun did survive Reach and continued to recruit Buck into the Spartan 4 program. He came across Buck on his honeymoon with Dain after his wedding and made the offer to which Buck declined and advised to come back at a later time after his time off with his newly wedded wife. Jun honored this request and returned to bring Buck onto the Spartan 4 program. Halo 5 lore behind the scenes.

Thorn, bruh spartan armour is coated with a heat resistent material specifically to deal with the heat of plasma. How resistant this makes them to fire is hard to *guess*at, though. Spartans have fallen from orbit, through the atmosphere, and survived, but they've usually had something to protect them (a Forerunner door for Chief, a re-entry pack for Noble 6) Spartan armour can definitely take the heat. I could see it deteriorating and breaking down over time in the ground due to it not being in use for a long period of time tho. As a die hard halo fan it’s just hard to imagine that the armour could be burned mere ashes.

SPARTANS122 Ouellette, Well assuming we’re seeing halo combat evolved in the final cutscene of reach, It hasn’t really been that long so give it more time it likely would. As for noble 6 picking up other dead spartan helmets, (since no one in halo has switched up they’re armour builds) I’d like to think that every spartan is assigned armour that suits they’re specialization and style for them after the recruit stage. so switching a partially damaged helmet with a HUD meant for the user with another dead spartan would be kinda inconvenient if you ask me. That’s why you never see that happen no matter how damaged the user sustained might as well not use a helmet at all.

Honestly, after playing I grew close to noble six. Caught me super off guard when he didn’t leave with jun. I would love to think he survived and oni started keeping his whereabouts a secret again but that’s kind of pushing it. But maybe that’s why he was always the lone wolf in the little time he spent with noble team he attached himself so much he didn’t want to leave the planet .

I'm just throwing ideas out, but I assume that III's would speak a lot. Especially as a fireteam since communication is essential. Six barely talking is kinda creepy. Doesn't acknowledge or confirm much. He just gets an order and shit happens. For a II like Chief it's expected and smiled upon, probably cause of his record. But for a shadow like the lone wolf himself, it's kinda scary.

I really think he deserves his own game. The setup is so easy, a flashback to Noble 6’s past where you play through his covert days. It would flesh out an already explored concept in halo ODST kinda with the sneakier tone, but a full on covert halo game would be something interesting.

My personal head canon is that the original Noble 6 was killed on Reach. However once ONI recovered his armor during the reconstruction he was cloned, retrained, and unleashed as ONI’s perfect assassin. The only reason Agent Locke was assigned to bring Chief in and not Noble 6 was because the UNSC needed it to be public that a rouge Spartan could be brought in by “normal” soldiers.

I always like to bring up that prior to the human-covenant war, Spartan-II’s were originally meant to fight insurrectionists. Since the Spartan 2’s were out in the front lines of the human-covenant war, the majority of spartan 3’s were doing the top-secret ONI dirty missions making insurrectionists fully disappear. It sucks we never got a HALO story with the Spartans going against ONI as what halo 5 was supposed to be before cortana plot line that makes no sense. It would’ve been a unique experience to actually go full on Spartan vs Spartan action like kilo squad.

His armor had no chance of use. In the final mission being destroyed to pieces. He must of done something after, maybe starting a settlement for the lost, but on that note we'll never know what happens.

I'd love to see a odst esc prequel that goes over six before his transfer to Nobel team and how his family was lost to the covenant and his time fighting insurrection troops. Like they could have a mission that starts with six needing to take out a insurrection cell and upon arrival at the location the insurrection cell are all dead and the covenant are found to be within the facility and it shows six and their first encounter with the covenant.

I love the video, 6 deserves more recognition in lore, but with respect I disagree with you saying that 6 being alive would completely ruin the games meaning. It would alter it but not completely ruin another way of looking at it, 6 surviving could give us the new poetic tale of a hero who sacrificed everything to save humanity and die in the process but reappear later for dramatic effect, they did do the same for Chief after all.
