Hi, I was thinking the same thing when i first saw this, but I've also checked out the Gretsch pro jet. Same make of guitar, same type pickups - mini humbuckers -, only less controls. Very bluesy though, like this guitar.

The only guitar dave considered keeping when he sold all his guitars ,he had 2 of theas gretsch duos and sold the backup ,he even sold the black strat,he kept this guitar and a couple of others ,...get a gretsch (the guitar david is playing has filtertron pickups ,wich is the stock pickups for alot of gretsch guitars)

Thanks for posting it. Saves getting the DVD out to listen to just this bit... I can only describe the Guitar sound as "gold plated notes". Gorgeous. Do I have to fork out £1500 to get the same model of Guitar, or can I achieve the sound with a Strat? Easy answer... if a Strat vould do it, a Strat would be what he used....

i have the david gilmour relic strat as well as a strat with the emg dg20 active pickups and i can come close to the sound but, nowhere near perfect. lots of factors though.
