Not up to the same extent as Barcelona now, but the emphasis was even more (and with that, too much) on youth academy graduates, which just leads to inconsistency due to a lack of experience within the squad. De Boer's only luck for having won those 4 titles was that the competition was doing even worse, the early 2010s in that sense were not a good time for Dutch club football. Think we had fallen a lot on the UEFA club coefficient list at the time. But anyway, it goes too far to say De Boer has laid the foundation for his successors to reap the rewards at Ajax, but he has helped the club through a difficult period, and for that us Ajax fans can only be grateful to him. That doesn't change the fact that there were very few people here in the Netherlands that understood why Frank de Boer had gotten the Dutch national squad manager position though, given all of his previous failures. And then he thought it would be a good idea to change to a 5-3-2 formation only a handful of players in the squad were used to and somewhat comfortable with just two weeks prior to the start of Euro 202(0/1)... *facepalm* The most remarkable thing is that Frank de Boer, despite everything he experienced in the past 5 years, he still wants to be a head coach / manager. I wonder if there is a club or country out there that's crazy (or naive) enough to hire him.

Also we have 2 great players at Derby, I know it’s only Derby but they are literally the beat players there. Definitely Premier league quality just still getting experience. I'm actually delighted to hear about Ukraine's theoretical placement in the PL. Yes, we might not have a game-changing player (although Zinchenko or Malinovskiy, for example, can be such in the future); yes, we lost 7-1 to France (thanks to COVID outbreak in the team); and yet we have a distant and coherent team with a combination of both experience and youth; and also both Ukrainian meantality and European game plan - Andriy Shevchenko (yep, a Chelsea flop, as you would think) is the main manager with Italo-Ukrainian crew alongside. And honestly, he did a great job by transforming my country's team - from a bag of shame at Euro 2016 where we haven't even score a goal - to a prominent force on the European stage that beats Portugal, Spain and don't look like a victim of being easily beaten by top squads like Germany and Italy. So I think that this placement of yours seems logical. Anyway, good luck with hitting 500k! You deserve it.

His opinion on Austria was fair why do you disagree? Apart from him I think mentioning Lichtsteiner who he should know doesn't play anymore. Opinion on Italy I think was ridiculous yes at the very very least they should be in the top 10. Croatian players have always been good even if they struggle they'll find a way to survive but I can't remember did he place them in the relegation zone or just outside. At minimum I'd put them 13th or 14th if I was assuming they'd have a tough season

The Croatians have been poor since 2018 which is just fact but what is also fact is Croatia constantly produces good footballers so it would be unfair to say they'd be relegated. I think yes when you think of the teams who he thinks would finish about Croatia like idk Newcastle or Palace it's such an insult to Croatia to say they'd finish this low when their would be teams who wouldnt even get through Europa league qualifiers but if you are talking about current form and possibly under their current manager then I'll give irish guy a slight pass on Croatia. Don't agree with him at all about Italy especially with Mancini in charge who had a strong team already in Man City and won the league. But I get where you are coming from. Yes they don't have more than lets say 8 or 9 premier league quality players but the teams just mentioned have about 8 or 9 between them. They would survive in the prem about 15th I would put them not massively behind but not relagation foder. Croatia would not be below 12th I just don't see a squad with that much quality being that low espically when you have a lot off press resistant midfielders in that team.

Agreed. Italy is going to qualify for at least europe, croatia might make a europa league playoff push and austria definetly won't be relegated. The one that bugged me the most was austria. Their starting 11 is good and definetly a class above that of this year's bottom 5-6 teams. Switzerland too. Just gloss over all their talent and the ridiculous amount of gladbach stars in that team (sommer, elvedi, zakaria, embolo...)
