[WHERE YOU BELONG - BACKSTORY] - You wake each morning to the sound of the wind in the pines, a constant whispering presence that you have come to recognize like the voice of an old friend. The cabin is small and spartan, its wooden walls lined with shelves full of notebooks and instruments for your research. You wrap your hands around a steaming mug of tea and watch the mist creep through the valleys below, weaving between the tall, dark shapes of the trees. It's been years since you first came to this remote outpost, tucked away high in the mountains. You remember the journey, the way the road narrowed to little more than a trail, the dense forest pressing in from all sides. You remember the feeling of arriving here, of knowing instantly that you belonged. Since then, you've watched the seasons pass in endless cycles - winter’s heavy snows, spring’s burst of green, summer’s long golden days, and autumn’s red and gold tapestry. You have recorded the migrations of birds, the growth patterns of the trees, the behavior of the streams and rivers. Every day, you fill your notebooks with observations, your mind focused on the natural rhythms that surround you. People from the outside world sometimes send letters, asking when you will return, when you will leave this place behind. At first, you replied politely, explaining that there was still so much to do, so much to learn. But over time, you stopped responding. You know that you could leave, if you wanted to. You could return to the crowded city streets, the noise, the faces that you once knew so well. But the thought of it makes your chest feel tight, your heart pound faster. Here, in the quiet of the forest, you have found something far more precious - solitude, the freedom to simply be. Occasionally, someone arrives at the outpost - a park ranger, a curious traveler, a fellow researcher who has made the trek to see what keeps you here. They ask you if you ever get lonely, if you ever miss the world beyond these mountains. You smile and tell them you are content, that you have everything you need. They don’t understand. They never do. To them, this place is a prison, a desolate stretch of wilderness. To you, it is home. You feel it deep in your bones, in the way your feet tread the narrow paths between the trees, in the way your hands move over the pages of your notebooks with a steady, practiced rhythm. The solitude is not a burden but a gift, a stillness in which you hear the world speaking to you in ways you never could back in the noise and rush of the city. You don’t mind the cold winters or the long nights. You don’t mind the isolation. Here, you know every inch of this forest, every sound, every smell. You know where the wolves make their dens, where the deer come to drink, where the rare wildflowers bloom in the spring. This place has become a part of you, just as you have become a part of it. You know you will stay here forever, until the end of your days. One day, a letter arrives, urgent, asking you to return, to come back to the life you once knew. You fold it carefully and place it on a shelf, among the other letters you never answered. You step outside and breathe in the crisp mountain air, feeling the sun warm on your face. You listen to the forest around you, alive and teeming with secrets still to be discovered. You smile to yourself. This is where you belong.

Your channel has really inspired me and put me in the right mood for learning more machine learning. I am taking an online course right now on deep learning with Pytorch, and this fits so well with it. I am interviewing for an ML engineer position next week, probably not qualified yet (don't think I'll pass the technical interview tbh), but I intend to build my own ML projects so I can hopefully be self-employed one day (and truly remote & ALONE), this track made me feel like I finally found what I'd like to work towards (freedom).
