What I love about you [Karen] and Michael is the ‘Make My Dream A Reality’ aspect of your lives. Michael’s been on the edge of it, taking a while to find it. Supporting you and watching your lives change and grow. I remember he was looking for his niche for a while! Cars, photography, re-building and home decor and now fashion! I’m so pleased that he eased into fashion HIS way and is enjoying sharing his new fashion tastes. I look forward to Michael’s Channel and whatever he chooses to share! I look forward to watching your lives bloom even more! I wish I knew how to do this for myself!! One thing we’ve all learned is that it takes YEARS of dedication!! 🎉 The ‘Spin Off’ Channel is THIS!! Oh, also, agree with what other viewers are saying about a spinoff in which you re-create outfits from what everyone is wearing - the way you adapt it for yourself and what you have or can find is inspiring. And I loved all the vids when you were renovating your New York home and would love to see that happen in more detail in Paris.

Hi Karen. My husband has celiac disease and was diagnosed after years of pain and suffering and while I don’t have an allergy, I am also seeing the benefits of cutting back on wheat in my own diet (here in the US). Less joint pain and inflammation in general. Definitely something to explore. Enjoy the rest of your travels and I’m looking forward to content from both beautiful cities. ❤

Ciao from Italy, Karen i agree about wheat in America has glyfosate which is causing inflamation, pain, ichiness etc. In Europe legislation is strict glyfosate other chemicals free much better quality. Telling as Keto person been constantly learning all of this for 5 years. Micheal's style is so cool. Take care ciao😘

I’m Swiss and live in Texas - the food issue is spot on. My father said they will not import our GMO wheat. They use about 1/3 of the sugar in their desserts compared to USA. They do not use high fructose corn syrup. They normally view corn as animal feed. My Swiss Aunt had never had popcorn till I brought some over (she loved it!) And the chocolate produced for the European market is sooo much better (in my opinion) than that produced for export.

Hi Karen and Michael, I must say I absolutely love you guys! I truly enjoy your content and also love seeing how Michael's style has evolved. You have created a monster. You two complement each other beautifully. As for the food here in the US well it's a crying shame. I'm from Houston but my favorite cities are New York, Paris and London. My husband Rich and I just returned from a trip to London, Paris and the South of France. I have trouble eating pasta and bread here in the States because of the enriched folic acid and other chemicals. Rich is also gluten intolerant. When we're in Europe we can enjoy pasta and bread (and boy do we) without any side effects. I will say the food in general in Europe is of higher quality. The veggies, fruits and animal protein is pesticide and hormone free. And how about the gorgeous pastries? You can barely taste any sugar. Oh and don't get me started on the wine. That's enough to make us want to move there. Have fun you guys and keep the content coming. Big hugs ❤

Hi Karen, re: your joint pain--if you haven't already, please see a rheumatologist to make sure there isn't a rheumatologic issue you should treat. Also, good to keep track of your symptoms and how often they are occurring, what time of day, and how long the stiffness lasts. If the pain is occurring first thing in the morning after rest (as opposed to at the end of the day after lots of activity), it would be a good idea to get it checked out. Also doesn't seem good if it is bad enough to interfere with working out. Glad to hear though that the symptoms are less while you have been in Paris. Take care of yourself. Thank you for your wonderful videos!

Karen you are right about the food here .. my family cut out processed foods and I went from a size 10 to 4 in 2 months without going to gym .. we make our own bread with simple ingredients, our own tortillas, eat more proteins that keep us full longer also cut out seed oils . My energy, focus and movement increases naturally and my mood was better and inflammation decreased in my joints as well

I knew you were going to say it was wheat! Not just the way our flour is made, but so many people are somewhat gluten intolerant and they don’t realize until they go somewhere else in the world! Certainly corn syrup is deadly, but so is the gmo products we consume. In NY you will definitely find a place to get healthier bread!

Think of the joy of furniture shopping at the glorious Paris flea markets! Wonderful! Thank you for the video! It was epic! If you get a bread maker, the results can be variable. Some are better than others. Consider a Kitchenaid which does all the kneading but can also be used for cakes and other purposes. The kneading is the hard part! Bosch mixers are also fabulous I hear!

My fav look was the 3rd one with the shirt and vest. I love that Michael is tuning into his style. I’m not sure I’m loving those big black pants/shorts but hey, I’m of the older generation, it just takes me longer to accept new things. I totally understand about your hands and the wheat. I have spent the last year working with a nutritionist/PHD scientist regarding my health and food. I have eliminated a lot of foods from my diet. I now only eat fresh organic meat and vegetables. I had severe stomach issues along with IBS and now it is rare that I have any stomach issues at all. A major factor is going gluten free for me. I’ve been to Paris a couple of times and the first thing I ever noticed was how wonderfully fresh the food is. Do you know France does not import foods from out of the country. Another thing I noticed is that they don’t have those huge 18 wheeler trucks. I was told that the bigger trucks are not allowed on the highways on the weekends, go figure that. Americas economy would stop if truckers couldn’t drive on the weekend, LOL. I keep telling my husband we should move to France. We do love it there.

I was a total Francophile as a teen, obsessed so I took a year abroad in college and moved to Aix in the south of France. What I can tell you after being so smitten and dug in and LIVING there as a local, it that it will wear off; the charm, the romance; the scenery, everything but the food because that is Indelibly crave-worthy, but spend a year there and I predict you'll have your fill.

Yes, I had the same experience with food when travelling in Europe. When eating all the carbs and dairy in France and Italy, my skin fully cleared up and my digestion improved. Then when returning back to Australia which by law adds folate to ALL wheat products, instantly sick mentally, physically and spiritually. When eating bread here in Australia I go for sourdough, I find this easier to digest as it's fermented. Eating and health in our time and age can be such a challenge, due to the myriad of choices. I think we thrive when we cater our foods to our genetics, location and to our bodies responses. All the best on your journey to health.

I am living vicariously through you guys while you are in Paris. I love Paris, it just has a different vibe with food, fashion, how ppl move and live. And yessss, so glad you mentioned about the food. There are certain foods/ingredients that are not even allowed in Europe and other countries that we have here in the US. Our food system is literally making us sick. I have the same issue with my joints but when I travel out of the US and eat foods in those countries they go away but the minute I come back and start eating the issues return. And like you said no matter how hard you try to eat healthy its very difficult to get away from those ingredients here because like the wheat you stated which blows me up is in so many foods and disguised with other names.

I live in scandinavia and I had swollen fingers and stomack problems, I stopped eating gluten and milk and my problems went away. I baked my own bread with wheat flour made in my country, and that did not have any difference. My symptoms got worse year after year, first I could not use ray bread or milk with lactose and that helped for awhile, then I had to cut out the gluten and milk althogerher. But anything that helps with those problems, you should go with that. I would have checked that you do not have celiac disease, because if you do and you eat gluten your condition will get worse. (Gluten free diet might help if you have occasional skin problems, I think you have mentioned about some problems earlier in your videos) Love the scenes your are going around with scooter and all the cafes you visit😍and the fashion of cource👍

Yes Karen, it's a thing. The U.S. produces what has been dubbed "Frankenwheat" and it's definitely not the same as the wheat from just 50 years ago even. Also, I've read the eye-opening book Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight. I'm currently reading No Grain, No Pain. I've since ditched wheat and have switched to red lentil pasta. I've lost a few pounds since starting nearly a month ago, and I feel more energetic and oddly food tastes better too! There are too many benefits I've noticed to list here! I'm currently looking into making my own bread from imported flour that I can get at the international market where I live. Your videos are delightful. I am amazed at your ideas and vision. Love to see what looks like a fun, relaxed time in Paris! If you can make it happen, rent an apartment. It truly seems Paris suits you both. If you do start baking your own bread back in the states, you need to find the right flour. Look for heritage grains. Bobs Red Mill, I think.

Really love the last Weiw in Paris inspired looks-with the sweater vest. Geeky glasses and fisherman sandals just made my day. But I was also really excited by the dress under the long white shirt instead of wide pants. Going to try this immediately. As for your other question about spinoffs - I don’t know if this would interest you, but I have really missed Bill Cunningham’s weekly photo collage in The Times of New York- trends. Would love to see you do something like that. It really captured the zeitgeist of the fashion moment and also of the weather and the spirit in New York. I know that you are not a huge trend follower, which I applaud, but there was something about the electricity created by so many people being excited by the same color or the same print or the same silhouette as captured on a single day in New York.

Omg the Marshalls sandals😮 I bought the exact same pair here in Toronto at the beginning of summer as I recognized the high quality for the low cost($39 cdn) however; I returned them as I couldn’t incorporate them in my wardrobe. You styled them brilliantly as per usual😀

Hi Karen, I have been following you for years now ( since Covid) and you have helped me through so much!!! Please could you 1) highlight Coloured/Black French Beauty and style, and 2) talk more about the quality of French food and the effects of the differences between French food and American food on the body. Also, tell Michael please maintain his glow-up as he looks more fantastic/ distinguished than ever! Keep up your humility and the good work ❤❤❤

You guys are such a lovely couple…Karen you have evolved as a person and Michael is a staple in your life and I love seeing him. You guys are such a lovely team…I feel like perhaps you guys can move anywhere in this world together and thrive, together. I love the outfit recreations and thanks for sharing about the perks of being in Paris! The closest I came to Paris was London…I can’t wait to visit Paris now. Great video! The perfect team! ❤

When you are in New York, you might make your own breads. You can get Canadian wheat or even find a source for french wheat. Making bread is not hard. You can make your own butter as well. Once you have a "source" you can grind your own flour. American food sources are very polluted. Our water is not potable in many places. I imagine the air is cleaner.

You're absolutely right about the foods. I experience severe dietary and abdominal issues here in the US, but never when I travel internationally. It is such a pleasure to travel and enjoy going to restaurants without worries.

Hi Karen and Michael. As a Parisian watcher I am delighted that you are enjoying Paris enough to consider maybe living here someday. 💖 I love my city and I would be happy to count you as my "neighbors" 🔥 But if you do decide to take the plunge one day, may I suggest learning French so you can really immerse yourself in the life and culture of the country ? I know that it's easy to find English speakers in Paris a community, but it can sometimes be a little bubble outside of a more complex, denser city life. My husband came from South Africa to move in with me, and Paris (and France because there's more than Paris in France of course) really opened its arms to him when he became more fluent in French. I would love for you to be able to experience everything that fashion and art and the people have to offer. 💖 Cheers 🌸

France has excellent food laws. I can source fairly well in Canada at the local food market. I get that joint pain from dairy, I have been to France...the cheese was so delicious. It is unfortunate for me that it doesn't matter what country I go lactose intolerance will prevail

Love Michael's journey into finding his own style! Been following you for years, and I can see the confidence, and enjoyment he has now gained! Another advantage to maybe moving to Paris is its closer to your mum, especially as she is getting older❤ Look forward to more style inspiration, you never disappoint!

I agree with you regarding the food ingredients in North America vs. Europe! Even between Canada and the US things are very different. I notice a huge difference when I travel to Europe! Even with the Coke and soft drinks!
