I've gotten more hurt on small jumps than big jumps. On big jumps as long as you avoid the flat and the knuckle falling really isnt that bad. Small jumps you almost always fuck up and end up on a knuckle or flat

Disagree. I tried to skateboard for so long, and I wrecked myself every time I did it. The first time I snowboarded in Denver, I fell a few times, on my but, tumbled a few times, and I was fine. Ended up making a run several times at full speed. Snow if soft, concrete and wood suck. That doesn't take away from snowboard crashes, of course, but it does say something about the safety of the two. There's a reason Hall Of Meat is a KZbin compilation of skateboarders and not snowboarders.

I think that is a little misguided of you to say. The majority of those guys were landing sweet spot. Keep in mind this is 10 years worth of crashes crammed into 2 mins... A jump built by the same guy that pushes centerpiece jumps all over the world, including Whistler's end of season show-stopper.
