That audix sounds so punchy and rich. Overall, they all sound great and have their place in different styles. Love the nice balance between attack and beefy depth of the shure.

Thanks for including the isolated sound as well! Makes it so much easier to compare the level of detail and frequencies captured. Would have been nice with a boundary microphone, but the Audix is definitely the winner here.

i liked all. I own Shure Beta 52A. But think the best of them is Audix D6.

I use a bunch of bass mics but the MikTek Pm-11 is my go too for rock. Such an underrated mic

I use an Abertone Mondo that I picked from a blind test on recordinghacks years ago. I use a Kickport and put the mic about 2 cm outside the hole. In this test I liked the Audix the most.

Out of the ones you had here, I gotta say my fave is the beta. I actually have used the akg on floor toms

Audix is the best, followed by the Sennheiser imo - the beta 52a and the RE20 lack some of the punch

Whoah... it sounds like a completely different kick drum with each mic...

Das Sennheiser klingt für meine Begriffe am rundesten und vielseitigsten.

In my experience the first 3 mics are not perfectly placed at - or right after - the porthole. At the time they were first released drummers used to place the mic about 5 cm right to the batter head inside the shell for more attack. Especially the D112 sounds terrible at the porthole for my taste.Same with the D12 Simon Phillips still uses like in the old days......
