What is the best way to see the beautiful islands of Thailand? The two most popular ways to see the island are either by Speed boat or Longtail boat. We did both types of tours and have concluded that one is better than the other. What do you think?

This is cool. Looks like you were staying in Ao Nang (Krabi). I agree with your points because I did do both speedboats and Thai long-tailed boats for different tours. I do prefer Thai boats because you can do everything yourself at your own pace but I would recommend to bring a few snacks with you. A day trip to Phi Phi is better with speedboats where going to Hong Islands or Poda/Chicken/Tup as well as Railey, Thai boat wins every time

What are the rules for flying the drone and where can we get the info on this?

You have to Register your drone with the Thai government and get insurance from Thailand. Then you can pretty much fly in most places in Thailand
