Totally agree...the grand sport to me is the worst trim, even going back to the c6. I would rather buy a used z06 for the same or similar amount of money and enjoy the looks as well as the performance that comes with it.

A C7 Z51 Stingray or Grand Sport with a tuned aftermarket Supercharger build that cost less than the upcost of buying a ZO6 will outperform a ZO6 in every way all day. This is basically why the GS is said to be a better buy.

Right now a 2017 GS and a 2015 Z06 are priced the same, but the GS will hold a higher percentage of it's original cost. The Stingray is the best value overall, especially pre-driven. Bottom line...buy what you can afford, but the the GS has the highest resale value.

I would go Camaro SS 1LE or ZL1 over Stingray and Grandsport... You’re getting the same Powertrain with a Camaro vs Stingray for cheaper

lol, Vette's faster because it's 500lbs lighter than Camaro. Camaro is very nose-heavy, doesn't have the head-turning looks, nor the 50/50 weight balance (Vette's transmission is mounted near the rear axle), nor the targa top. Camaro's vision and blind spot are terrible, the windows' too small getting food at a drive through. Vette sits lower like exotic cars which is a cooler experience than a normal sedan height like the Camaro. Also, too many Camaros on the road and driven by kids. Vette's just cooler with exotic materials (a magnet won't attach to anything except the 5 wheel lugs) like carbon fiber roof and hood, magnesium seat frame, composite body panels. Center screen retracts is cool. Corvette corners better. Corvette stops best from 60mph-0 in 90feet... #1, not even an exotic hyper or supercar can beat it. Corvette has a bigger trunk. Corvette has a better (smaller) turning radius for u-turns and parking. Corvette has higher resale value, even as a percentage of MSRP. Camaro's footprint is too long like a sedan that if parked in my garage, I wouldn't be able to walk behind it without opening the garage door each time. Corvette has Michelin Super Sport tires (same as exotics such as Ferrari, Bugatti, Porsche) that are way better than Camaro's Goodyear. The 3 reasons I'd buy a Camaro over a Corvette are less $ and 4 seats and the mood lights option.

I think your delusional. A ZL1 Camaro which is way more powerful then your regular SS can't compete with a regular C7. That powertrain is towing around way more weight in a regular Camaro then it is in the vette. But don't let me stop you, your gonna get smoked like crazy on the street.

It’s a 10k price difference... I’ll bolt on a zl1 and walk a z06 for less. The 10spd auto shifts wayyy faster than the 8speed
