I bought the Casio fx-83gtx on your recommendation a few months back. I cannot fault it, having the ability to punch in a long and complicated formula, the way you would write it on paper. Then have the correct answer in an instant really is super helpful. (The first formula I tried was the long one to calculate neural current in an unbalanced 3 phase system, it was simple with this calculator) looking forward to future content🙏👍

My Casio fx992s that I purchased over 20 years ago and that used for C&G exams etc has just stopped working! So now looking for a modern replacement as I am studying the 2365. So will be getting one of these later today, thanks Joe!

I've been looking for a replacement to my trusty old HP 20S I used for programming (Bin/Dec/Hex/Oct) and this one looks nice for my electrical needs. One thing it seems to lack is a readily available dedicated +/- button that is usually very handy, but... I see you used the (-) button for making a negative entry. That will take a bit of getting used to for me. ;)

It is interesting to note that this 85GT X is made in Japan. Most of the ClassWiz models are made in China or Thailand.

any ideas on a calculator that can handle parallel component calculation on the fly for schematic dissemination ,also boolean for digital circuits,my fx82l is still going and still like new,box ,book still intact . The hyperbola and i suspect parabola function as far as i would be involved are for charge and discharge circuits.

Joe my partner somehow changed the settings on her Casio FX series calculator and she can't seem to do decimal times fraction without making it a scientific notation as the answer She has no idea how to get her calculator to do it now. Second year City and Guilds training her final exam is in 10 days Her calculator was working fine but she is not sure what she done to mess it up can you help her reset her Casio FX to be able to do the correct thing

A good machine but the Casio ClassWiz is much more capable and can handle advanced engineering courses with its solvers, matrices and vector capability. Why was this one preferred?

There are many models under ClassWiz. Which one do you mean? fx-991EX, 991DE X?
