Great video once again. I really want to know more about the paint jobs on the frames if it's ok, might make a cool video. Paint was always really important to me, is it a strong powder coat, is it painted really thin, how do they paint the carbon frames for example. Thank you so much 👍

Thanks we will keep that for an idea for you guys in the future!

Gonna order some tapered forks shortly. I have some carbon forks, aluminium and a trick Ti fork. Looking forward to these, heat treatment is swaying me to these. Latest vids have been great.

Could you also maybe show us or talk about how you come up with the amazing colour-ways on your frames over the years , and how they maybe get painted or Anodised 🙏🏻 thanks in advice

Loving the content. You know, as a dude who weighs around 250lbs I have a hard time trusting carbon, especially when I have to go to work the next day. Is it really that strong?
@SupercrossBMX. Жыл бұрын
Carbon really is that strong, but you have to trust what’s in your head too. With cro-mo you through it on and run it, never think about it again, with Carbon, every big wreck or come off you have to inspect it for chips. It is the chips that do the biggest damage to weakening the strength , but are they strong enough for a 250lb rider, oh hell yes!

@@SupercrossBMX. I’ll just keep and ultrasonic tester with my tools and check for voids and cracks. I know that carbon is durable. I am an aircraft mechanic on the bell 429 and most of it is carbon fiber including the tail rotor drive shafts. Granted, helicopters don’t take the impacts as often as a driven competitive bmx racer does.

@@AdamOravetz Cool, you know the strength of Carbon, you don't need to carry your ultrasonic... we use a high compactation , low void style. It is good stuff. Ask Randy Roberts how he likes it and how it has held up for him.

You make some of the lightest chromoly forks, and sometimes lighter than some carbon ones

It doesn't seem worth the money to buy carbon. 200 extra dollars to save 5 ounces. That's 1/4 pound. Spend the 200 decreasing rotational weight.
