Flanagan is s trying to turn the clubs fortunes around. After the embarrassing loss against Parramatta in the dressing room, he obviously told Hunt that performance was unacceptable from the team. What is he suppose to do, pat him on the back after one of the worst first half performances in that club's history. Great news today for you dragons fans. Ben Hunt isn't a play maker, he's a 6 not a 7, he is like Tyran Wishart, Conner Watson or Phoenix Crossland, a half that can play 9 or centre. He does his best work as a 14 style player for QLD. A good 6, 9 and centre role 14 utility is very important and becoming near on essential in today's faster paced game. I don't know why the dragons thought they could make him into a 7 but it has failed, it would be like running Munster in 7 for 7 years, you'll get a 7 that plays like a 6. There are some 6's that can convert into a 7 but not all of them, Luai is one, and I think Trindall from the sharks may convert from 6 to 7 imo. Ben hunt is a 6-14 should be 750k-800k and move to 9 to train younger guys for injury periods.

I also add, when running the 14 utility, you lose one bench spot, so you need a solid back row inc lock to tough out teams using more forwards on the bench. with a good back row you you can generate more line speed ect which helps the backs.

@@blakesmith6765 Preston was misused his entire career and should have always been playing Five-Eight, the titans would have won a comp with the Campbell / Prince half's combination Slater has overwhelming speed and could ball play, something Sloan doesn't have in his game My opinion is since Sloan is 6"1 (that's nice), he's 83kg (that's terrible). Sloan needs to get to at least 90kg to 95kg minimum (my opinion that's still to light for the modern game, 100kg is the target he needs to get to, that way he can break tackles and run over people while still having the ability to dance)

If Ben Hunt doesn't play the broncos don't even make the GF that year let alone win it. The broncos left edge defense (who allowed that final try when literally nothing was on) and anthony milford (who allowed Kyle feldt to steal the ball from him with 1 minute left in the game) are far more guilty of costing the broncs the premiership that year.
