Which Coloured Pencils to Use When Drawing Black Fur | Colour Recipe

Many people know that black fur isn't actually black, but knowing what colours actually make up black fur can be a little more difficult and there may even be some colours you wouldn't expect!

Hello Bonnie…I have the same question ….I want to buy Faber Castel pencils but not sure if they are all the same quality? I have some single ones ordered that I would need to do the black dog. But following your videos you mainly use the polychromos so I feel I really need to get them. Are all the colours in the 120 package of Fabre Castell? Do not think I can afford the Luminous or the other types you use.

Hi, I completely understand that the pencils I use are an investment but they are great quality pencils and I recommend them. That being said you definitely don't need the same pencils as me to still create beautiful drawings! Hi Bonny - what make pencils would you recommend. I have a set of 24 polychromos. I did not get any caran d'ache or luminescence yet. It's extremely expensive for the average person but I would invest in it if you recommend me getting it, perhaps even just single pencils to start with.

I use Polychromos and Luminance because they're just amazing quality pencils and I would recommend them, that being said being creative and enjoying your drawing is the most important thing and you can still create some beautiful drawings with other pencils.
