@@sickfuck most of us Bolivians dont really care about it, obviously it would help out our economy and help to better up the most needed life style. The ocean/sea issue is just weapinized for political reasons. The one thing that bothers us is to use our culture as props for tourism. I have been to Chile and know la Tirana and few other festivals use Bolivians dances however 'most" Chileans (just like Argentineans) recognize our dances origin and that's all we ask. Also you don't see Argentinians calling Bolivia a province of theirs just because we were part of their colonized territory. Another big point for us, is the online harassment by Peruvians to bolivians; you cannot watch a social media article or video regarding Bolivia without peruvians trying to belittle or insult our country (without any proper evidence or documentation.) We bolivians are pretty respectful people we live our culture and ussually when migrate we stick together and are hard workers, we do not come to steal or take from anyone else, it's true a lot of low income people tends to move out and some have little education or do not speak Spanish well but are kind sweet people a bit shy who does it out of need and in hopes to better up their lives and the countries they are going too. For me the issue comes to how mistreated they are by our neighbors, however when people from other countries come/move to ours we always try to make them feel at home. Have a great day!

The other countries of South America, although mixed, are genetically more European than Native Americans... so in Bolivia this idea of resistance is stronger. But I could be wrong. But I strongly recommend visiting Bolivia, the culture is enriching.

@@marmoor5515 that is just rivalry maybe, it doesnt mean an "ongoing war", bolivians dont like that peruvians argue that some dances are shared by both since we share the same past and history, bolivians consider those dances to be excluisively bolivian, that could arise some modern rivalry, but I would say is only one sided, peruvians really dont even know that bolivians have certain rivalry towards peru. Anyways, if you overpass that current rivalry there is a lot of fraternity respect and pride shared by both. In Peru we consider bolivians as brothers and sisters and I know in Bolivia it is the same, some people (some peruvians and some bolivians) could focus on certain rivalries for current events but for those people most of them are unaware of their own history. As a peruvian I love Bolivia

The territory to which you refer was called the Royal Audience of Charcas not Alto Perú after the independence war the guy in charge of drawing the independence act the decided that alto Perú sounded better than Charcas; since it was also the territory of one of the Republiquetas. Find any.... any proper documentation regarding The Royal Audience where it's called alto Perú by the Spanish crown or the vireroyalties....... ya.....there isn't.

I don't think you understand Bolivia if you make such a ridiculous generalization. We do have a left wing democratic government but we don't necessarily agree with the populism of a military strong man like Chavez and Maduro. Venezuelan immigrants have been welcomed in Bolivia perhaps better than in other countries of the region. And Bolivia fought for its independence forming part of the armies of San Martin that liberated Chile and Peru. We enticed Bolivar´s ego and called it Bolivia in order to be independent from Peru or Argentina. We welcome any Venezuelan that come in good faith since we are brothers.

Bueno, no me parece lógico como boliviano que mis compatriotas le tengan tanto hate a Perú. Teniendo en cuenta que Perú literalmente metió las manos en las brazas en la guerra del pacifíco por nosotros, en lo que creo y siempre debió ser NUESTRO CONFLICTO CON CHILE. Nuestra organización política y militar fue una mierda, debimos habernos quedado peleando hasta el final pero no fue el caso, como boliviano ese debería ser nuestro lamento profundo historicamente hablando. A la mayoría de Bolivianos no les gusta Perú, porque tengo entendido que nos echan la culpa de no tener salida al mar por el tratado de Peru con Chile, que dice que Chile no puede ceder salida al mar a Bolivia por ex territorio peruano, y Peru está de acuerdo con eso.!! Porqué?? Porque Bolivia se fue de la GDP despues de perder la Batalla de Tacna en 1880.

Pues en sur de peru mayormente la gente es más indigena por eso nos confunden con bolivianos,por donde esta cusco,puno , en lima puedes q vea gente tambien es porque los del sur de peru han venido a vivir a lima en cambio el norte de peru somos mas mestizos y muy poco se habla la lengua originaria.👍

Es mas Boliviar quería un solo país que se llamara la gran Colombia que sea integrado por casi todo sud-america unida. Nostros los Bolivianos no quisimos Bolivia fue una creación de los habitantes de Charcas. Que se negaron a ser parte de la gran Colombia, de Peru y Argentina mediante un voto casi unánime. @@marmoor5515 no es que les robemos, es que bolivia realmente es parte de Peru, el alto peru, la única razón que existen es porque bolivar quería debilitar a peru y por eso nos dividieron, si dirás que fueron parte un tiempo del virreinato de argentina pero eso fue solo un tiempito, argentina está lejos de Bolivia y en aquella época no tenían vínculo cercano en cambio Bolivia era como una provincia peruana crecimos juntos. Mira es algo así como que Peru es Alemania y Bolivia es autria, los austriacos son y hablan aleman la única razón que estén separados es para debilitar Alemania. Bolivia solo se desarrollará cuando nos unifiquemos así podrán usar el puerto de illo y Tacna

That's because Bolivians don't really care about the ocean is more of a political weapon of whoever is in power. The issue with Peru comes to cultural appropriation using Bolivian dances and music to make a touristic profit out of it and calling them Andean or Peruvian or claiming it's theirs with fraudulent documents. It's even more upsetting when Bolivia has been look down for decades as the indigenous country or land of indios and our uses and customs are seen as barbaric or too laughable, etc. In the last 15 years been indigenous is: touristicly profitable and trendy but most still call Bolivians: serranos, indios, negros, bolis, kollas, etc.
