I'm a CDNIM apologist. I actually don't mind the opening at all. And the dry down lasts 12 hours and gets compliments everywhere you go. That's the best one, for the price, bar none 😊

Yeah, I’m in the dry down not bad, I don’t mind it. I just cannot get past that opening. But that’s what I love about fragrances. They’re all subjective and everyone gets something different.! But I do agree it is a compliment beast in the dry down 😎

I feel the same unfortunately after my first 3 bottles the current ones seem weak and have hardly any staying power. I even wrote to Armaf’s House of Sterling asking then why they changed the formulation- a simply denial that it was the same. My brother who lives 200 miles away has also been extremely disappointed. I went and found an EDP - a smaller bottle at 150ml and it’s a little better,.but nowhere as good as the original.

Alt has some pretty decent dupes in their collection! Executive 26 and Executive Parfum are both extremely close! They don't quite get the "development" part of Aventus. They're much more one dimensional than Creed. But they get that dimension WELL! Very good clones, IMO!

I don't mind the pledge opening either, it's gone within 5-10 minutes anyways. It's not the 12 hour beast, but cheap enough for a decent daily

Good review! You might want to test the Loewe esencia Elixir EDP. I like the Explorer. I won’t buy the Club de Nuit because it’s too synthetic and harsh opening. I wanted to try the Barrett’s but shipping from the USA to Portugal is problematic getting through customs without paying an arm and leg.

I think you should have specified which version of CDNIM you where reviewing as there are about 6 versions. The 4 main one are the EDT, the EDP, the Parfum and the Limited Edition. I think they made 200ml of the EDP exclusively, which is supposed to be similar to the EDT version.

The reason why your club nuit was only $25 and doesn't smell like Creed is because it was EDT not the EDP, which is supposed to make the difference. The Parfum is $50+

I bought a Mont Blanc explorer recently due to the hype it generated. Man what a harsh and aggressive flagrance that is. It's not completely bad , but it is very aggressive and unrefined for the first 30 minutes to 1 hour. Almost like a barbershop scent.

I gotta try that alt version. I’m more a fan of the fruit and vanilla aspect of aventus and less so the smoke. I would say you should try rayane insurrection pure 2, less than $20 and smells great. Downside is the performance is worse than modern aventus, if that’s at all possible.

Maybe I have magic skin, I don’t get terrible performance off of the new batches. I’m still getting like six hours. With pretty decent projection. Maybe try putting some unscented lotion on before you spray see if that helps.

12:59 is it that difficult to add a miniature of the parfumes or the name in the video?? It's not very friendly for people from other countries, that doesn't speak English as main language. And showing the bottle to a 4 mtr away camera it's not enough to see the name on the bottle, don't even bother.
