Personally i recommend reefer or flatbed dry is fine but youll get better experience with the others and itll be useful if you ever want to swap divisions down the road best of luck to you

I want to do car hauling from GA no prior experience, except driving non cdl landscape equipment. Live in GA. Any company that will take me no experience?
@craigharris63943 жыл бұрын
Car hauling is easy if you have a system!! You'll make way more money, as long as you're hauling new cars from manufacturers. I loved it!!

I use to do only teaming for Dry van but. I wanna go solo for reefer little bit scared of. Since you have to know how to scale in a professional.
@TruckinByNight4 жыл бұрын
Scaling is easy 12 on steers 34 on drives and trailer theres also a app that you can put your weights into and itll tell you what hole to put it on

I got 15 yrs of otr experience and food grade tanker you really dont do much especially if you dont have a pump. reffer isn't really worth it too many crappy grocery warehouses flatbed in my opinion isnt great bc some areas have crap flatbed rates. i am dry van now and its probably the best easy work and alot less stressful

@@TruckinByNight food grade has some long wait times sometimes especially at a powder plant and the deadhead is sometimes over a thousand miles
@mahamudyusuf11524 жыл бұрын
Reefer, flatbed or dry van, which one gets the most miles per week or are they about the same. Thanks.
@TruckinByNight4 жыл бұрын
Really its gonna be about the same on the miles but reefer and flatbed pay the most because there is more involved

@TruckinByNight4 жыл бұрын
Only took me a couple days to get used to driving a truck and ive never had a issue falling asleep but i drink alot of water caffeine will cause you to get tired easily if you drink to much biggest thing is getting into a rythem i run 3 hours then stop for about 10 minutes to stretch and walk around and i follow that and it helps me

@jowyjozef4 жыл бұрын
What pays more? Is there a difference in pay or is it depending the company?
@TruckinByNight4 жыл бұрын
Really depends on the company dry van is always going to be the lowest because its tge easiest, then reefer will be a little higher because there is more involved with temp monitoring and so forth, flatbed and reefer are usually pretty even as far as pay goes on the company level but there are a few exceptions to this TMC for example pays percentage which if you do it rite you can make a killing, very few companies offer tanker to inexperienced drivers but some dp such as prime inc but i honestly cant speak on there pay bc ive never done tanker in my experience if your just starting out gp reefer or flatbed depending on the amount of work you want to do
