there's a small exploit you can do with Shulk's final smash (i found it by accident), you can use down b and hold down the button to bring up the monado selection, then you can choose an art without activating the final smash. they'll effect the final smash, like buster making it deal more damage but less knockback, and smash for less damage but more knockback

I honestly think this challenge needs a redo for a few reasons: -some characters have a final smash that transports them midair to the second panel, thus resetting the launching point to be at the second panel instead of where Kirby was first standing -Kirby was always starting IN the first panel, which i personally think is a landing area, not a launch area. -a thought up for debate, honestly: in regards to characters like Jigglypuff and Piranha Plant, who can move Kirby forward during their final smash moves before the final blows. Would that distance count? Or would their positions need to be adjusted to have Kirby truly be launched from where he was standing? Here's what I suggest: -kirby needs to stand to left before the first panel. -have the left edge of the first panel be the center of the stage, so when characters like Ike or Greninja do their final smash, they will end up launching Kirby from the true launch point. -if we're going to adjust Jigglypuff's final smash, have them stand further left so when they grow, they won't push Kirby forward. And Piranha Plant's final smash, Petey Piranha, would need to move and get in position to have its final blow launch Kirby from where he was standing. I understand how that could probably be difficult to wield, but worth a shot.

Personally, I thought one of the flaws was that it didn't account for omnidirectional knockback. I honestly think there should be a starting 0 panel, then expand out from there in every direction. After all, certain final smashes are meant more for vertical knockback, and Ganondorf has a spike on his starting hitbox(though I'm not sure how that would be factored in). Also I feel like if you could find a way to hit Kirby without moving him, that would at least give Bayo a final smash to work with.

I think it deserves a redo, but I have to disagree with you on nerfing characters who transport the target over… that factors in to the FS move. They still have to catch the attack on the original starting tile

This can be easily resolved by making kirby start in the middle of the arena, and having the distance panels count out from both ends. If they want to do a second video for verticality launches, then have it count upwards, or with arcs (circles with the centers at Kirby's spawn point so its equidistant all around him. That way, no matter what final hits kirby or where he goes, the launch point is pretty much always going to be at the spawn point (center stage), and can launch in any direction and get a reading. There'd be far fewer exceptions with this layout. Bayo is still an exception due to her attack requirement just to get her attack off, but maybe having a 3rd player chara to get her set up, and then her final hits Kirby as well could count? I forget if her attack hits everyone in range or just the attacker.

Some of them were inconsistent and they could've gotten better results by standing closer to Kirby. For example Dark Samus sent Kirby further than how normal Samus did it by standing closer to him. And all those who use cinematic Final Smashes should stand closer to Kirby, so he doesn't get dragged too much to the left.
